I'm 66, so I remember seeing guys like Mickey Manle, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Roberto Clemente, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Frank Robinson, Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, even Ted Williams play on TV in the 60's.
In person:
In the 70's I saw then NY Met, Rusty Staub hit a HR at an Astros game in the Astro Dome.
Covered older guys like Charlie Hough, Toby Harrah, Gary Ward, Larry Parrish, Tom Paciorek, Darrell Porter, George Wright, Don Slaught for the Rangers and Don Sutton, Reggie Jackson, late in their careers in the 80's.
1986 was the 1st year I covered Ranger games.
Ranger rookies: Kevin Brown, Mitch Williams, Edwin Correa, Jose Guzman, Pete Incaviglia, Bobby Witt, and Dale Mohorcic,
AL rookies that year. Jose Canseco, Wally Joyner, Bo Jackson, Fred McGriff, David Cone, John Kruk, Cecil Fielder, Danny Tartabull, Calvin Schiraldi, Cory Snyder, Greg Swindell, Bob Tewksbury,

Legendary Yankee Stadium PA announcer, Bob Sheppard:
"Playing second base and leading off for the New York Yankees is number 1, Bobby Richardson, number one."

I remember seeing Kaat and Yaz play.
The closest ones I remember are Roy White and Lou Pinella. Both, 82 years old.
Damn, that's crazy.

Topps used to do an annual sticker album. One year the back page was a tribute to Yaz after his retirement.

I'm only 43 so I guess Ryan or Hough. If they tell us real age I'm pretty sure Otis Nixon was 74 in 1990.

I remember watching Franco in the playoffs as a pinch hitter. He had to be 56 or 57.

Gene Freese lived a block over from me when I was a kid. He played for the Reds and Pirates and before that the N.O. Pelicans.

Probably Julio Franco from his time with the Braves in the mid 2000s because no one really knows how old he really is.

The first player name I remember from when I was about 5 or 6 in 1970 was Johnny Bench.
1st player name I remember seeing in person was Doug Rader (Astros), 1973.
Rader was born in 1944 , same as my mom.
But in the next few years as I got older and was more aware of particular players, I remember often seeing Carl Yastremski play on TV and such, and like the OP, he is my overall oldest.
Incidentally, Yaz was born in 1939, same as my dad (who is still alive and kickin', too).

64 here. So me too.
We lived in Dallas when Ryan pitched for the Rangers, so I saw Ryan, Franco, Pudge, Rafael Palmeiro, Harold Baines. Saw Ryan pitch one of his 15 or 16 strikeout games there.
My folks were baseball fans and always watched the Saturday games and the Monday night games. I remember watching the Reds in the 70s and those Dodger teams as well. Didn't see major league game till the Rangers in the late 80s.
I did see Denny McClain when he pitched for the Shreveport Captains when he was trying to make a comeback. I'm sure hardly anyone on here has heard of him. But he was a pretty big time pitcher so people did go see him when he was with the Captains.
