When I watch college basketball all season and the tournament...there are so many well coached teams. Who do you feel does not get enough credit for the job hey do?

Fran Dunphy at Temple has done a solid enough job there IMO.

Everytime a job opening at a good college is open, his name comes up...Not under appreciated at all.

You could argue self. He's had the best last 10 years for sure and doesn't get treate that way.
I still see threads every season where people don't have him top 3 which is inexcusable.

That's like saying Chris Petersen is underrated as a college football coach. Stevens is far from being underappreciated. Everybody knows he's great.

Self--and I've thought this long before tonight.

He was the guy I wanted us to get when we hired Mike Anderson. I liked his teams at Winthrop and am still impressed by his WSU teams.

Nice call. McKillop, Ayers, and the cat is out of the bag now, but after attending the 2006 Final Four in Indy, I was a huge Larranaga fan. Unlike John Brady's team that was overwhelmed by the moment and Howland's UCLA, Larranaga's bunch were just overmatched by Fla..yet fully there in the moment..and composed unlike LSU.

I think that Self, Donovan, Smart, Stevens, they all get a ton of credit.
Last year, when the LSU job was open, I really wanted the Tigers to go after Gregg Marshall and Tommy Amaker, and both guys have done a great job this year with their teams. But Amaker did not have much success at Michigan, so he seems to have a ceiling. Kind of like McDermott at Creighton who did poorly at Iowa State.
As for underrated coaches, I would say John Beilein at Michigan and Jim Laranagga at Miami.
