Trae Young
Klay Thompson
Lamelo Ball
LeBron James

These people can not carry a team if they are the alpha on their team either by never being a true super star, age, hype.

Thompson and James do not belong in this list. Thompson was never a/the superstar face of his team and his injuries have greatly diminished his ability.

James is almost 40 (is 40?) and was the best player in the league for a long time.

First 3 aren’t superstars and never have been.

Lebron is 40.

Embiid. He's nothing but a regular season merchant who enjoys his fair share of flopping and bitching to the refs. He is always "hurt" when it's time to play Jokic and the Nuggets too . How he hasn't managed to even make an appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals is wild

Trae

Klay was a supporting piece and not a star before his Achilles injury destroyed him.

LeBron is 40

Ball is a potential superstar but not there.

Trae, OTOH, was positioned as a superstar and the Hawks blew a lot of resources to try and recreate the ECF success that the team had that one season only to falter constantly to play in levels.

Lebron haters are absolute fools...do you even remember LeBron carrying the Cavaliers to the NBA Championship against they dynasty Spurs with this freaking squad...

Without LeBron...this Cavs team would have been a lottery pick team.

I’d say right now Ant because of the random MJ comparisons this year. He’s a below league average scorer who has some exciting moments.

Currently? It has to be Anthony Edwards. There are people saying that he should make first team All-NBA over Luka which is absurd. Also, they're acting like he carried the Wolves to 56 wins this season which is far from the case. The Wolves won that many games because they have the best defense in the NBA. They have the best defense in the NBA because of Rudy Gobert. Edwards is not the singular driving factor in the success of his team like the other superstars in the league.

Russell Westbrook with slightly fewer assists at this point in careers.

ETA:

Getting downvoted, but 4 years into career:

RW - 19 pts/4.7 rbs/6.8 asts/19.8 PER

AE - 22.9 pts/5.2 rbs/4.1 asts/17.0 PER

Didn’t Edwards average around 26 ppg this year? Not sure that’s below league average.
