shite, he still made $42m over his career.
I was just reading up on him. He had a respectable NBA career. 12 seasons- 11ppg 4reb. Head coach for Central Arkansas now.

Little known fact about Alcindor: UCLA was coming off a national championship and were rated #1 in the country in the preseason rankings the following year. Back then, freshmen weren't allowed to play. The UCLA varsity team played an exhibition game against the Lew Alcindor led freshmen team and lost by 15 points! That's how good he was.

yeah everyone knows this

Crap, now I'll have to edit my post to "commonly known fact."
I thought with all of the youngsters in here picking players from the last 10 years, it would be a tidbit that not many knew.

Chris Johnson, LSU. Absolutely the most dominant guard I've ever seen.

Derrick Coleman was absolutely legit in NCAA as well.

Larry Johnson/Stacey Augmon were as good as a twosome.

I can put a list together. But it could be Shaq, Hank Gathers, Derrick Coleman, Chris Webber, Chris Jackson, Jay Williams, Christian Laettner, Jamal Mashburn. It's hard to say. There have been sooooo many.

The Pistol. One of a kind. Had ESPN been in existence then, he'd be more famous than either Jordan or the guy from the Heat.

No I didn't make your point. You never saw X or Gathers play live I am taking it. If you did you would understand that it was easier for Gathers to score and get rebounds than X based on system.

In somewhat a similar vein, what state has the most players in the NBA's top 50? LSU has Pete, Shaq, and Petit.

Redick's SR year may be the best single season in Duke history. It's not that far fetched
