No mention of Vince Carter?

Vince was never even the best player on his own team at UNC. Antwain Jamison was by far.

Durant wasn't near polished enough as a college player. He doesn't belong in this discussion IMO

shut the frick up. and then you go on to list melo instead?

durant did literally everything better than melo in college (and probably now too). he was the definition of "polished." are you serious? most surefire thing ever.

The Cincy team with Martin was better and they were not even close to the two I mentioned.

Watching OU and Vegas live was like watching PSJ but they were better than that team also.

No one that played one year of College basketball should be even considered for this. I never said Durant wasn't very good. But his college career is a blip compared to his pro career.

Kinda shocked by all the jay Williams answers.

I'm not even that old, he's prob the 3rd best dukie of my lifetime

Laettner, grant hill?

Maybe even redick

Jay Williams was a great college basketball player. You can easily argue Laettner and Hill had better college careers. Most ppl are saying Williams because he is more relevant in the age of the ppl on the board.

Redick was not better than Williams and thats not a knock on Redick. Williams was just that good.

Williams had some incredible college moments, too. Obviously the most memorable moment was when he scored 8pts in 14 seconds against Maryland w/ a minute left. He scored 19 straight points against UCLA in the sweet sixteen. He put on a 32 pt show against Kentucky. He was just a great College bball player.

* I agree though, i was shocked his name was mentioned this much.

He was magical back in 1988. Pretty much took his team on his shoulders to the title. But you can say that about a lot of players.

There have been a lot of great centers or guards, shooters and whatnot...

But Manning is definitely the best CBB player I saw because he could do everything all over the court. Big 8 player of the decade, he was a one man show...just did it all. If I had seen Magic play I'd name him...but I didn't...and since Magic, in all honesty, I think Manning in college was the next best thing.

People forget how he was a man amongst boys b/c of his pro purgatory with the Clips and then blowing out his knee. But damn, that guy was the best all-around player IMO in college I've ever seen.
