Whitlock baited the hook in his article yesterday about Maria Taylor. Sure enough, Nolan bit and Whitlock was ready to drop the hammer!

The website is completely independent of Fox. Fox Sports Radio (where his show and other radio shows like The Herd, etc.) is owned and operated by iHeartRadio, not Fox Sports. They just license the Fox Sports Radio name from Fox Sports, and have some partnership to simulcast The Herd on FS1. (I think in this case,FS1 owns the show "The Herd" and licenses the radio rights to iHeartRadio for FS1, but all the other radio shows are directly contracted with iHeart)
But, in terms of where the paycheck for the radio show comes from its iHeartRadio.

I actually think Katie Nolan is talented. Her late night show is good. This is more about Whitlock continuing his troll behavior as part of the Clay Travis throw shite at a wall and see what sticks shctick

And she’s never been a live sports person. That’s not what ESPN hired her to do. Have they butchered her use? Absolutely. But that’s kinda par for the course for the company these days.

Doug Gottlieb called out Maria Taylor for leaving AD off of all 3 of her all NBA teams. Taylor basically said she forgot (inexcusable given the situation if one really takes the vote seriously) and basically said Gottlieb was being misogynistic for calling her out.
Whitlock wrote an article about Maria Taylor basically saying even though she is a very talented host, her looks have helped her succeed so don’t take yourself too seriously. Whitlock argues she wasn’t being treated differently by Gottlieb but he was just holding her to the same standard he would hold everyone else.
I’m the same article, he mentions Nolan (unlike Taylor) as having almost no talent other than being a pretty face with potty humor who dudes like. He basically says that is her only real credentials and that she really hasn’t worked that hard to get where she has gotten.
Nolan responded and Whitlock was ready.

And that's all Whitlock was pointing out. She's eye candy and makes millions of dollars to smile and look pretty. That's why he dropped the line about "beauty privilege." You may dislike him as a person or a journalist but the man isn't wrong.

When Sarah Spain is actually talking about sports, and not her social justice issue of the week, she is actually pretty good at it. I enjoy her non-SJW commentary (although that's hard to find these days).
Katie Nolan is just freaking terrible. She's cute. Cool. She has no talent whatsoever. Maybe she can be a game show host or something.

To me, he focuses too much on bashing Nolan. I don’t think it’s her fault she’s gotten to where she has. It should’ve been focused more on the ones that reward her. Feel bad for her because she’s going to get a ton of hate for basically trying to succeed and getting unfairly rewarded
