I guess I understand the tradition part, since some traditional rivals are playing each other less now. But what do you mean about rivalries? They are still pretty heated. e.g. are you expecting to hate Bama any less this year?

In no particular order.

No defense in the NBA.
QBs are coddled in the NFL.
I hate overseas games and Thursday Night Football in the NFL. Hate ‘em!
Why is it so hard to define a catch in the NFL now. I feel like this wasn’t a problem 10 years ago.
I hate the college football playoffs.
I hate this era of NIL in college sports.
I hate the transfer portal.

Lining up in a shotgun, 4-5 wides, on the goal line.

Two of the most controversial catch rulings happened in 2010 (Calvin Johnson) and 2015 (Dez Bryant).

9:00 pm ET tip off times for Tuesday college basketball games are some bullshite. Especially when the last two minutes of the game takes 10 years and that tip off is really going to be 9:30 pm ET or later.

Preseason college football polls. They’re considered legitimate without a single game being played. Then they’re used to move teams up and down as the season progresses. The result, year after year, is that highly ranked legacy teams require multiple failures to get nudged down the rankings while surprise teams that weren’t ranked preseason require near perfection to achieve similar rankings.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Playing pass defense and hitting the QB shouldn’t draw nearly the amount of flags that it does today.

And the no-sit transfer portal.

I hate the QBs calling a pretend pass play. Everyone goes downfield on fake routes then the QB takes off running.

The game isn’t meant to be played this way.

Uniforms

Watching Lakers @ celtics. Should be home white vs away purple but no. Celtics in black at home, lakers in white.

LSU trotting out stupid alternates every other game last year.

The saints never wearing gold pants anymore.

The alternate jerseys in both the NBA and MLB are a huge one for me.

Split screen ads, particularly in golf and baseball

When the defense gets a turnover, then they run 80yds to endzone to celebrate, winning the game or not..

Ever changing rules on kickoffs. Hell, I don't even know where they spot the ball anymore on touchbacks in college and the NFL. I'm not even sure what constitutes a touchback anymore.
