Craig James killing five hookers is only repeated on sites like these because Jim Irsay is paying to distract from the fact that he killed at least a dozen hookers while playing for the same SMU football teams. That said, Craig James killed no less than seven hookers during his time at SMU

Craig James was never convicted for killing 5 hookers, as far as we know. That’s why it’s somewhat irresponsible to go around saying Craig James killed 5 hookers, because there was never a conviction around Craig James killing 5 hookers. On the other hand, it’s almost a certainty that Craig James killed 5 hookers.

Craig James the guy that allegedly killed 5 hookers?
Posted on 12/12/22 at 5:23 pm to diremustang
The hate Craig James gets is ridiculous. I hung out with him in college once and he was a really cool guy. We all drank some beers, played some pool and then killed a few hookers.

Mike Leach was a coach at Texas Tech. He had a guy on his team, Adam James, who claimed that he punished him by putting him in a shed, and putting him in an electrical closet when he had a concussion.
We say "claimed" because under further investigation, the following facts came out.
1. It wasn't a "shed" and a "closet" it was a "garage" and a "media room"
2. According to Adam's high school coach, he had a history of slacking off and blaming others for his problems.
3. At this point in the story, this isn't a story about an abusive coach, it's a story about a whiny kid who isn't putting in a full effort.
4. Enter Adam's dad, Craig James, an ESPN analyst and former SMU football player.
5. Because of Craig's position at ESPN, his son's version of the story was very widely spread, damaging Leach pretty heavily and eventually requiring him to resign from his job at Texas Tech.
Most casual sports fans thought that Leach went overboard with the kid and that his firing was appropriate... because all that came out on the story in the in the mainstream news was Adam/Craig's side.
Looking more into it, it seems like the whole story was the kid hadn't been putting in much effort, and you ask the other kids on the team, you ask the other coaches, you even ask the kid's doctor and nobody has a problem with what happened. But Leach lost a good job where lots of people liked him, and it came close to ending his career.
The more-serious sports fans--the ones you find on message boards in the off-season, have looked at the whole story and understand this isn't about bad-guy Mike Leach, it's about Craig James damaging Leach's career by spreading exaggerated and poorly-founded allegations. Someone, somewhere, decided the appropriate response would be to make up an allegation about Craig James, and start spreading it.
This started years ago, and at the point where it is now, there are probably many who, like you, don't really understand where it came from.

Mike Leach wins that suit in every state BUT tejas
they have horrible, company friendly laws when it comes to law suits, when it comes to terminating employees unfairly.
let's also add, i believe 2 of the 4 or 3 of the 5 judges on this panel were taco tech grads

Will I ruin the fun if I mentioned this may or may not have been before google realized that message board bars could manipulate their trending search topics?

I don't know if we can be sure Craig James killed 5 hookers. I keep seeing everyone say Craig James killed 5 hookers but I don't see any proof Craig James killed 5 hookers. I agree that barring any new evidence, it's irresponsible to say Craig James killed 5 hookers.

I have a theory that Craig James (the one who killed five hookers) came up with this convoluted story about leach (the guy who did not kill five hookers) because the fact that Craig James killed 5 hookers was about to become national news. In order to keep the world from knowing Craig James killed 5 hookers at smu Craig James (yes, the one who killed 5 hookers) had his son Adam James (the son of the guy who killed five hookers) get leach (the one who did not kill 5 hookers) fired.

If you donated to Craig's campaign, you could write a supportive note on his campaign website:
Read it vertically.
He got 3.6% of the vote...roughly the amount of Hooker killers in Texas.

I was(n't) attending TTU at the time of the Adam James controversy. He and I often did (not) cross paths. He told me many times when we did(n't) hang out that his father, Craig James did in fact kill at least 5 hookers.

better than it being 2 out of the 4 or 3 out of the 5 hookers that Craig James killed.

Allegedly Craig James allegedly killed 5 alleged hookers while at SMU allegedly.

“Left” in Texas, after Craig James murdered five.

Does anyone know how many hookers Craig James killed? I can’t find the answer in this thread. TYIA
