I don't think I ever will nor do I have any intention of ever getting over the Saints' loss to the 49ers in the 2011 playoffs. That team was significantly better than 2009 and would have slaughtered whoever they played in the Super Bowl.

Literally gives me anxiety to think about Vernon Davis catching that TD pass. frick.

i grew up taking an annual 4 hour trip to Arlington to watch a game with my dad every year. we went to nolan's last game, first week of the Ballpark in Arlington. Lots of memories there. i had him queued up to call with 1 strike left and then that happened. i never made the call. the next morning my mom called to tell me that he had a heart attack and passed away that night. we never got to celebrate that moment together and it's one of my great regrets in life. just imagine if he had made it and we got to enjoy that together before he had died. not really. we just texted a bunch of cuss words back and forth, knew exactly what each other meant and never talked about it again.

I laughed harder than I should have at this

The 94 SEC title game. My dad and I made the trip over from Huntsville to Atlanta and scored some sweet tix from a scalper. We lost by 1 point largely because Stallings decided not to go for 2 in the 4th quarter and it ended up costing us a chance to play for a split title against Nebraska. Stallings would've won 6 SEC titles in his 7 years as our HC if not for fricking Spurrier...
The Camback and Kick 6 both sucked of course but we already had 2 losses for the former and I believe FSU would've beaten us for the latter.

98 NFC Championship game. The entire state of Minnesota died a little that day.

This year's playoff loss was nothing for a Viking fan, by comparison.

1/9/12. I'll never get over that. It still makes me physically sick if I think about it too long.

2005 USC (Bush Push game) - that one really hurt. I was on the field when that happened.

2015 Kentucky (Elite Eight) - I legitimately thought the winner of that game was going to win it all. We came into the tournament white hot and very nearly had UK beaten.

The 2012 title game against Alabama didn't hurt that much, even though I was at the game. We were so thoroughly dominated from first whistle that all you could do was shrug your shoulders - probably how Florida fans felt against Nebraska back in 1995. I went back and got shitfaced on South Beach and had a great night.

Can I change my answer. Iowa State vs Okie State in 2011. 21-0 doesn't happen, if OSU wins.

2012 against Alabama. I punched through a door at my apartment and curled up on my couch for days afterward.

AU UT SECCG 97

AU UGA 2002

AU FSU 2013

Chelsea Barcelona Champions League 2009

Honorable mention:

AU LSU 07

AU Bama 09

Those weren't as bad though because our team played over their heads so I was at least proud of the effort and I had little expectation going in. The sting there is mostly retrospective because they could have prevented our two biggest West rivals from winning titles.

Sticking to losses that have happened since I've been alive...in no specific order

2012 Reds vs Giants WC-We left San Fran with a 2-0 lead...and then proceeded to lose 3 straight at home.

2015 Final 4 vs Wiscy-Harrison's folded at the end, wish Ulis would've played more.

2010 Elite 8 vs WVU-We went about 1/30 from 3.

Too many Bengals games to count.

2012 SEC Championship

Knew that if we could get past Bama, we'd beat Notre Dame' in the natty and it would have been my first championship I could actually remember since I was only 3 when the Braves won it all. 20 years of anticipation just washed away in the final seconds on one play.

NFC Championship vs 49ers

Right after the 2012 SEC Championship, Falcons get massive lead and look to be on a warpath to the Super Bowl. Then completely collapse and Roddy gets mugged in the end zone during the final offensive play.

Eastern Conference Finals vs Cavs

There was so much hype not just in Atlanta, but in the state. This had been the first time I'd overhear conversations about the Hawks. I wasn't expecting an easy series, but didn't expect to lose like that. Luckily the bars I went to during the NBA Finals were all Warrior fans
