Red River Shootout
This was changed because the Big 12 thought it implied they didnt play defense in the league. SJW werent responsible for this one.

Yeah you're wrong

The University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas have agreed to rename the Red River Rivalry, again. Previously known as the Red River Shootout, the name was changed to disassociate with gun violence and it is once again changing names to the Red River Showdown.
LINK
quote:
In 2005, a brand tried to change the name to "the SBC Red River Rivalry," since "rivalry" has less to do with violence than "shootout" does. Since football has more to do with violence than "rivalry" does, this never made much sense. Some people agreed to start calling it that. Some didn't.

The Shootout name stuck until 2005, when a corporate sponsor changed the name to the “SBC Red River Rivalry” to avoid the gun violence connotations that “shootout” has. The reaction remains pretty mixed.

It's even on the fricking Wikipedia page
quote:
In 2005, it was sponsored by SBC Communications, and the game was officially renamed the SBC Red River Rivalry, with the word "Rivalry" replacing "Shootout" out of a desire not to convey an attitude of condoning gun violence.

But the damn liberuls!!!
Yes. Exactly, cuck.

People honest.y think liberals care that much about college football.
Also OK, TX, GA, and FL are all red or red leaning states. What Democrats are in enough power to permanently change the name of these games.
Also to always call SJWs “snowflakes” it’s amazing ho many of y’all on the right get so triggered over a fricking name of a college football game. It’s not like they canceled the actual fricking game.
But continue to bitch about shite you can’t change and something most people don’t care about.

World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

Both schools agreed to not officially call it that anymore since it's about alcohol and drinking and fun.
Are you sure this was the doing of “SJW’s and “Libs”?
Sounds more like a decision some prudish ultra conservative would make.

Caught the LA Tech game on radio while driving today. PBP man Dave Nitz kept getting tongue tied trying to say World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Color man Teddy Allen, “Dave, have you been drinking?”

Oh, bullshite. Quit playing the obtuse contrarian. You know exactly why the names were changed.

The OP literally confirmed that fact by posting links above.
But again, don't let that stop you from spewing false outrage.

What are some college football rivalry names the SJW and Libs got their hands on
The normal SJW MSB millennials like Shell and Th03 approve of this nonsense

App State vs. Western Carolina
This should be called The Weed Bowl. Both of these schools are well known for indulging in marijuana usage... Something the SJWs should fully support.
On second thought, maybe they should just call it The Bowl, with a picture of a marijuana leaf floating over it.

Didn't LSU/A&M used to be called the Gulf War?

No, just a name thrown around on tRant. Just was talk about naming the game, and many people said it would never be named that.

My wild arse guess is that the M.A.D.D. jihadists were behind it.

I think there were back to back years where a UGA and UF student died from alcohol poisoning at the game so the schools tried to change it

Do you have any experience in academia? If you do, you should know where to find the libs.
