Warriors have zero shame. They're constructing a team the same way I would try to on NBA 2K.

Boogie isn’t signing for $5 million on 2K

This move proves Durant is the real alpha. Dude pulls some tail onto his team

Yeah I don’t get the hate. The GM for the warriors is going to do whatever it takes to keep winning. Keeping his foot in the leagues throat.

That’s his job.

Well. As a Lakers fan this made the "Do we trade for Leonard" scenario easier.

Just punt this season and wait for Leonard and Butler next year.

Honesty, the lazy mental attitude of the sports fan over the last 15-20 years is to blame for this

Judging players almost only on titles without context had led us here

Hopefully this will sway people to using their brains again when comparing players

Hell I'm watching. I want to see if they'll win 75 games.

Agreed 100%. I mentioned this "MJ effect" in a thread a couple of weeks back.

MJ fans made comparing players a ring argument. Future NBA youngsters in that era heard that, grew up and now they've reverse engineered how to get rings, and those MJ fans have the gall to be upset about the standard they helped create?

No one hates the Warriors for taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them. People do hate the Warriors for acting like dickheads on the court and putting out stories about how hard life is for them.

But mostly people are bitching about the NBA’s inability to regulate its superstar players from forming an all star team. I don’t know how they could actually thwart it as basketball is probably the only sport that can be dominated by one or two great players in the starting lineup. GSW now has 5 or 6 guys that can be those dominant players.

I would just like to know how did this conversation go about.

Boogie picks up phone: Hello, this is Demarcus. Demarcus Cousins.

Warriors GM: Oh hey there Boogie, what can I do for you today.

Boogie: I want to come to the Bay area.

Warriors GM: Wait you were serious. Now now, as much as I would absolutely love to make that happen, you and I both know theres no way to even halfway pay you what youre worth. Plus your injury is a big risk.

Boogie: I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I'll get paid like I'm a bench warmer role player.

Warriors GM: You can't be serious...

Boogie: Oh I'm very serious.

Warriors GM: Well frick it, Congratulations my friend. You have officially just won yourself a ring.

Would really be interested in how a deal like this even starts considering they were out of each other's league (too expensive, no cap space). I'm guessing Cousins made the call?

Warriors chased DeAndre Jordan, knowing it was unlikely that they'd get him. Jordan took the money, Boogie gave up a frickton for a chance at a ring that no one will care about. If Durant's ring has an *, Boogie's will have *^(*).
