Reading this thread has convinced me how soft we've become. That was great. What a great experience for those players, that team, those students, that school. Relax. Or maybe we should put them all in bubble wrap. This is the way things used to be. And we all survived.

That clip in Boston is crazy. It’s incredible how far we’ve come. Now, you have NBA stars telling security to get fans to leave a thousand dollar seat because they can’t handle certain insults.

The fans got into position to storm the field with like 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter and the game wasn't even decided yet. FSU forced OT and people ere standing around waiting to storm for almost an hour in real time.

They rushed the field with the players still on the ground, they were starting to come into the endzone while the play was still kinda going.

It was a perfectly fine game for it, they just did it really retard like.

Imagine what would have happened if there had been a defensive penalty and they had to get 10,000 youths off and clean up the field for another play.

They will be fined $50,000. This is the first year the ACC has a field rushing policy and this would be UVA first offense.

Now they know and let this be a warning for all challengers henceforth.

One doesn’t simply engage the ghost of Ole Virginia in battle and not expect the resurrected Calvary of Jeb Stuart to remain idle on the sidelines of the field of victory.

Kinda weird that it’s just direct access to the field. No barrier. No hedges. Nothing.

That’s because people largely do not give a shite about UVA football

Was Clemson exempted from this?

Same here. There’s a way to storm the field and not put the players and staff at risk. That was not it.

ACC implemented an auto fine for storming the field this year. 50k fine for 1st offense, 100k for 2nd, 200k for 3 or more in a 2 year period. So UVA will be fined. FSU was fined 50k for storming against Bama.

I did not know that. Good to know.

Electric atmosphere and finish. But I don’t know how the players on the ground in the end zone didn’t get hurt.

Agreed. American sports crowds are softer than baby shite 99.9 percent of the time. People bitch about kids not being into sports, not interacting with each other, being on devices and isolated. Then we get fun actual emotion and the Karens want to fine them.

There was no mass fighting, flares, barricade crush or anything like that. Live a little. Watching the players and the students do the UVA to the tune of Rock n Roll part 2 was awesome.
