once again, the NCAA drops the ball in the worst possible way
a 2-year post-season ban has very little teeth to it. they guys that are signed are stuck and then you tell the currents recruits that the ban is over by the end of their RSFr year
i also think the USC poster got it right when he talked about scholarship pulls. you're only hurting kids that had nothing to do with the Southern Cal situation
i would do the following if i was the NCAA
- from now until August 15, allow ANY Southern Cal football or basketball player to transfer to any school of THEIR choice without loss of eligibility
- post-season ban from 2010-2012 (3 full seasons)
in addition, i think Southern Cal should attempt to go after Carroll, Bush, and Mayo in civil court for lost revenue due to this scenario. i know it would probably never happen nor ever win, but it would be interesting.

I would have given them 5 years of no post-season, at least 4....so it affects basically a whole recruiting classes tenure there. i would have stripped them on the 2003 AP title and the crystal BCS title in 2004. F USC! wow, pete carroll is one of the biggest slimeballs ever. he knew what went down which is why he hauled arse out of LA... where are the USC nuthuggers now???

I imagine they will stay close to their home bases for the most part.
I have been poking them with a stick over on their board all freaking night.

i think the guy who wrote this article doesn't know what he is talking about the 20 lost scholarships is going to do alot more to USC then everyone thinks.

Well, they keep claiming on their site that they are actually 7 under the limit right now, so it won't even begin to hurt them until year 2.

depends on how long of a time period its spread over. The post season ban doesn't affect kids they are recruiting now, IMO. It absolutely screws the current roster.

USC would end up in more trouble if this happened

That would be a huge risk on USC's part. I'm sure plenty has been swept under the rug that either of those guys could let out if they pissed them off.

USCtards actually think they're goin to sue the shite out of the NCAA
Posted on 6/10/10 at 8:25 am to SlowFlowPro
I keep telling the idiots a lawsuit would open them up to far more exposure but they keep telling me I have no idea what the f I am talking about.
They are also 100% positive most sanctions will be dropped on appeal.

it always makes me chuckle for people to say shite like that
what is the NCAA? a collection of schools who agree to be bound by these rules

Some, I think you have been about the only one to take all the heat.
