USC definitely has some true fans

USC has been THE bandwagon, national program for at least 5 years

that is the worry

USC can recover, but i don't know if they can get back to the level where they were at before

hellooooo UT and OU domination of the pac16

this sucks because it gives kiffin an excuse for driving the program into the ground. He was capable of doing that on his own.

I think that USC (IF we keep our players) will probably surprise some people this season and next. The success of the Trojans the next two seasons is critical in future recruiting efforts.

It actually is true that USC is currently under the limit, and that's not unusual. We tend to have small, but very talented recruiting classes.

i'm trying to think of comparable situations

Miami got hit slightly harder in the mid 90s, and it took about 5 years and butch davis to recover

they are a private school in a talent rich state who gained a huge national bandwagon fanbase

however UM was more bandwagon fans and 2 superpowers in its state to reap the benefits of the talent

i don't see USC falling off the map, but they were already sliding as a program naturally

Probably the most equitable comparison of penalties levied by the NCAA are the most recent suffered by Bama.

Hopefully no one at SC is thinking of scheduling ULM.

bama also fricked themselves with the coaching carousel, which wasn't all their fault (see: price)

This is great. This last day of work will actually be much more enjoyable for myself. Ever since they were "Paper Champions" in the '04 season, I've hated them with a passion. Not to mention their located in L.A. , which i also hate and play in the the "former" weakest BCS conference in America.

FUSC and FKIFFIN

Good comparison. Seems like Bama suffered more later, when the roster of scholarship guys got smaller. But if I was a USC guy I would be afraid that Kiffin and company are nearly certain to screw up in the future, with a serious risk of a death penalty problem. Wow.

WEARESC is really ridiculous right now. They sound like the spoiled brats they probably are demanding they sue the NCAA because they messed with the wrong people. Sounds like something a bunch of spoiled kids would say. We got caught with our hands in the cookie jar but don't worry my daddy will use his money to get us out of it.

unless another school is stupid enough to create a direct payment system, this will never be a threat to any school

Its pretty hilarious. If they think THEY have connections, they obviously don't know who they are fricking with.
