What makes me laugh is that Caitlyn Clark will actually bring that league some actual much needed ratings points.

Um, isn’t this the exact thing liberals are fighting AGAINST?

They don’t have the slightest clue what they’re fighting for or against. All they know are buzzwords and stoking racial flames

That's what I meant by, "plays for a different team". (Edited)

That's a HUGE deal in the WNBA.

quote:

Candice Wiggins was a college basketball star, the third pick of the 2008 WNBA draft and a 2011 champion. And at the mountaintop of her basketball career, her sexuality marred the moment.

There is a “very, very harmful” culture running throughout the WNBA, she says, which saw her get bullied during her eight-year career because she is heterosexual.

Wiggins, who last played in the league in 2015, said she retired prematurely to leave a league that she estimated — wildly — is 98 per cent lesbian, and which is played in such isolation that it weighs on the people on the court.

“It wasn’t like my dreams came true in the WNBA. It was quite the opposite,” Wiggins said in an extensive San Diego Tribune story published Monday.

“I wanted to play two more seasons of WNBA, but the experience didn’t lend itself to my mental state. It was a depressing state in the WNBA. It’s not watched. Our value is diminished. It can be quite hard. I didn’t like the culture inside the WNBA, and without revealing too much, it was toxic for me. … My spirit was being broken.”

The 30-year-old couldn’t take it anymore — being harassed for being straight and fighting for attention in a league that is starved.

i always thought Candace Parker was graceful and beautiful... and then she divorced her husband and left him for a woman.

It brought me great pleasure when Iowa beat Dawn Staley last year. You know how much that killed her inside.

I'd think if anything, viewership will increase with Clark being in the WNBA which would in-turn, benefit the entire league.

We should start pushing the line that the game of basketball was stolen from us.

I’m kidding of course but I do find it hilarious that the same group that claims rock n roll and now country was stolen from them in addition to claiming to be the real Jews and the true Native Americans is trying to claim the face of basketball needs to be black.

Too often, the Black players who built women’s hoops — and who now dominate the professional level, where the WNBA is 70% Black — haven’t been acknowledged.

The few times I ever heard/acknowledged woman's hoops...was hearing about...and "growing the game"... were

Cheryl Miller, Lisa Leslie (both black)...And Rebecca Lobo at UConn and now Clark (both white)...

This author doesn't, want fair natural representation based on talent and is scolding people for their desired fandom...she wants to direct fan attraction... To frankly a,lot of tatted up lesbians that most find unappealing. The WNBA should give Clark a,lifetime achievement award on Day 1 for saving that awful product.

The Snow flake race has been going after her since she started getting all the attention

This article was written by a white woman, which isn’t a sign that black people are going after her.

Do some? Sure. But overall I feel like she has a lot of respect from everyone.

I’d argue the face of the WNBA has been the most diverse out of any league.

Sheryl Swoopes, Cynthia Cooper, Cheryl Miller, Lisa Leslie, Skylar Diggins, Maya Moore, Candace Parker

Then you have

Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Rebecca Lobo, Breanna Stewart, Elena Della Donne, Kelsey Plum

Truly just an absurd article.
