Not a soccer fan and have been enjoying the World Cup but didn't feel much national pride when both goals were scored by guys who have never lived in the US and one just happened to be born here when his mom was visiting and wasn't let on the flight back to England because she was so pregnant.

Wow that’s an outrageous amount of low test beta males all participating in the same activity at once. May be a world record.
If this was an MLS or even a Euro league game, sure.
But this is America against the World, quite literally.

Oh, time slots matter now?
I remember that just a few days ago, you posted English Premier League ratings and how they are lower than WNBA as proof no one cares about soccer, and yet the Premier League's time slots in the US are usually at 7am, 9am, and 10am on Saturdays and Sundays.

So...of the 26 players on the team, 6 weren't born in the US. Those 6 players were born abroad to American parents, some in the military.
Balogun was born in the US and moved back to England at 1 month old. For some reason, his parents chose to apply for and maintain his citizenship (they could have denied it), and then he chose to play for his birth country instead of his parents birth country.
Why are you upset?

The fact that a son of an American serviceman didn’t elicit national pride? Bet you burn the ???? at parties.

Every Moroccan player was born in France or Spain. Croatia has had Brazilian born people play. Soccer is different.

How does it do vs recent Super Bowls?

No sporting event compares to the Superbowl.
However, it easily beat UGA's National Championship games. Even doubled the viewers of the 2023 vs TCU.

You’re from St. Louis, one of the great soccer cities in America that has produced some of the most players on both men’s and women’s national teams combined since 1930, so this is Sacrilegious.
Edit: They’re 3rd behind NYC and LA in that dept.

The World Cup and the UEFA Champions League both blow away the SB globally.
