The first black US Marshal Bass Reeves spent some time in Louisiana searching for a fugitive.

The Undercover Operation of 1896: While working for the Eastern District of Texas Federal Court in Paris, Texas, Reeves was sent to Houston to investigate a murder case. The Disguise: He assumed a fake identity as a fugitive on the run to gain the trust of the prime murder suspect. The Route: For three months, Reeves traveled directly with the suspect to keep up the ruse. Their trail took them out of Houston, through the Indian Territory, down to Dallas, and straight across the border into Shreveport, Louisiana, before heading back into Texas.

didn't feel much national pride

The fact that a son of an American serviceman didn’t elicit national pride? Bet you burn the ???? at parties.

San Fran and Seattle, Boston all hate

I attended the USA vs Australia match in Seattle and I haven’t experienced such an electric sporting atmosphere since the Saints hosted the Vikings in the nfc championship.

Now I do agree that tonight’s fans in San Fran sucked a massive one

Would’ve thought WestCoastAg enjoyed watching sweaty men in tight jerseys and short shorts

the tension

This is what American non-soccer doesn’t understand about the World Cup. The World Cup takes place once every 4 years. The vast majority of professional athletes have a very small window. Outside of maybe the Champions League, representing your country in the WC is one of every professional soccer players’ dream and goal. So these players are giving their all during and that makes this tourney one of the best sporting events in the world.
Then you must really hate baseball.
Conversely I doubt Gronk would be effective running a soccer pitch for two halves for 45 minutes nonstop.

It’s almost like these professional athletes utilize specialized training for their particular sport.

The former fastest person on earth, Usain Bolt, grew up playing soccer. Yet he couldn’t land a contract with an Australian soccer club 2 years after winning 3 gold medals.

It’s over, bro. I accepted that when I watched a guy who got out as a major, but wasn’t trusted to command beyond platoon leader, summon 5,000 years of combined leadership experience in the United States military into a 100-meter blast zone so he could lecture them about shaving profiles.

Thought the adults vacated command when the previous Secretary of Defense went awol to undergo surgery. No one in the military command structure nor the WH had a clue despite the Secretary being under anesthesia and incapacitated for days.

Doubtful ... a weekday 2 pm game ... seems like bad news for ratings

Next Friday….. is Juneteenth…. which is a federal holiday….. seems like good news for ratings

Yeah, the “shut up and dribble” crowd is currently jerking it to the trashy UFC octagon being constructed on the White House lawn Can’t believe they were full of shite the whole time - who saw this coming?!

Yeah, the “athletes have the 1st amendment right to be political” crowd are currently melting down about an athlete introducing the sitting POTUS.

Wonder if the great environmental conservationist Teddy Roosevelt had half the country seething and foaming at the mouth when he hosted a boxing match at the WH.

legitimate concerns about their water

Louisiana ranks 3rd in the country for fresh water surface area, top 10 in fresh groundwater volume, and top 8 in % of top water.

Bet the majority of people complaining about data centers are simultaneously the most vocal about LA’s shat economy.

Gawd forbid Louisiana utilizes one of its most abundant resources to grow its economy.
Wonder if any climate scientists and news agencies will attribute “a below average hurricane season” to man made climate change???

Citing Biden on anything isn't some type of gotcha its stupidity.

It’s not meant to be a gotcha statement but a comparison. There’s a lot of disingenuous liberals complaining about today’s gas prices that never bitched about gas prices when Biden was in office.

Politics is so damn tribal that obvious hypocrisy is blatantly ignored and that goes for both sides of the aisle.

Aww you are so terrified of them being half way around the world?

You do realize that Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda were based / located half way around the world in Afghanistan when 9/11 transpired, right?

Thousands of Americans have been killed by this theocratic Iranian regime & their terrorist proxies. How many more dead American bodies do you find acceptable before our military takes kinetic action to protect her citizens?

The primary function of our federal government is the protection and defense of her citizens. Rather take the fight to the ME before it arrives stateside.

This one actually cracks me up, because Lafayette baws love to hate on SWLA as not being Cajun and being more like SETX. Yet, their school was called the University of Southwestern Louisiana for ages. And Lafayette isn't even really SWLA. But nobody wants to be the University of South Central Louisiana...too similar to SCLSU.

What in the retardation cowpoke logic were you trying to convey?
According to medical professionals you’re a retard.
