I hope FSUs students are ready to play $5000 in athletic fees. Those are the people who will really be funding their exit

I’m thinking more like when Adriana started asking about witness protection that people like her uncle Richie got and the Feds were like “Richie is in the program?!?”
Once she realized those people she thought were in the program actually got whacked, shite got real.

PAC 12 should have added Fresno, San Diego State, Boise State and UNLV as soon as USC and UCLA left.
Maybe SMU.
They also should’ve attempted to get BYU to switch to them.
Instead they did nothing. Not one single strategic move to shore up the conference.

Academics blocked Boise et all.
And now they are going to end up with Hawaii and San Jose State.

This assumes the Pac survives in its current form.
When the music stops, it appears that Arizona, ASU, and Utah are joining Colorado in the Big 12 and Washington and Oregon are joining the Big 10.
If you only have four schools left and merge with another conference, the remainder may still be called the PAC but it will be the Mountain West 2.0 instead.

Yea, but Stanford and Cal will still be forced into a conference with a bunch of icky schools, regardless of name.

Yep. Pac by name only, sort of like the Big East in basketball, although that was brought back from the dead

Cal may take its ball and go home by dropping to FCS.
Not like they give a shite about football anyway.

One article that I read about Clemson is that it wasn't just about the money. It said they fit better in the BIG because of the loyalty their school has from fans, alumni, etc, which they said is more reflective of the Midwestern schools
Clemson people truly are delusional.

My work productivity is about to be at 0 today just trying to keep up with all of this.

Feels like this morning was Vegas George's last chance and in typical fashion botched it.

Washington and Oregon outmaneuvered him. Which seems to be the legacy George will leave the PAC with.
Posted on 8/4/23 at 11:09 am to msutiger
George is definitely dealing with shrinkage right about now.

Sources: Washington and Oregon are "fully engaged" with the Big Ten. Things remain fluid, but are trending in that direction.

[Thamel] Can confirm @ralphDrussoAP report that there's a Big Ten presidents call now scheduled for today. There wasn't one scheduled early this morning.

All this entertainment and I’m not having to pay for any of it.

I think Stanford and Cal go independent before they join the Mountain West. They can be affiliates in other conferences for sports not named football.

If the PAC 12 network was airing all these board and conference meetings, the network might actually turn a profit.

frick “Hard Knocks”, this is the reality show I want to see.

I love the Big Ten making sure these reporters mention "we won't act on any more Pac-12 schools until the Big 12 does because we don't want to be blamed for killing the Pac-12."
They already have killed it.
They already have killed it.
