Love Tyson - dude stands proudly for his anthem (hand over heart) as its played before a fight and then proceeds to whoop his opponents arse and give glory to his Lord and Saviour.

Guys that are 6’9” don’t usually have the technique and footwork that Fury has. It’s going to take someone having the fight of their life or someone landing a lucky haymaker to beat him.

Part of the problem for most boxers is where his fricking head is. Compare the mechanics of various punches on a target head roughly your height to one 6-7 inches higher. The breakdown of the mechanics and the loss of power are significant.

Not so sure about that. I think someone like Vitali Klitschko would give him problems. Vitali had an Iron Chin, height, an awkward lean back style, could anticipate punches almost like he knew they were coming and had plenty of stamina. He only lost due to injury twice (both times he was ahead on official scorecards) and was never behind on any scorecard after two rounds his whole career.

That's a funny way of spelling Vitali Klitschko

You must be a new boxing fan. Peak focused Lennox Lewis was way better than Fury. Hell, Vitali Klitschko was better than him too.

prime Lennox Lewis vs Fury would be great.

Post-prime Lewis gave prime Klitschko all he wanted, and defeated him on a (admittedly controversial) doctor stoppage.

Vitali needed 60 stitches to put his face back together. Lewis retired after.

Tyson vs. Fury...(not 90's Tyson) - use the Dolorean.

Would love to see Fury's gut in Tyson's face...pushing him around the ring while Tyson..."Punch-Out" jumps for uppercuts and bulldogs his way inside.

6'9" vs. 5'10"

Mike Tyson's 3 tallest opponents in his prime (not counting 6'5" Lewis, Tyson was a tomato can by then.)

David Jaco 6'6" (1986) TKO Round 1

Tyrell Biggs 6'5" (1987) TKO Round 7

Jose Ribalta 6'5" (1986) TKO Round 10

The more skilled the boxer obviously, the longer the fight lasted with Tyson against taller guys. Even in his prime, I don't know how Tyson smothers Fury and knocks him out with Fury's skill and tall big heavy manhandling body...6'7" Wilder couldn't knock Fury out with his awesome power.

I'm no boxing expert but I'd think Fury would be a terrible matchup for Mike Tyson.

Whereas like it's been pointed out already, Lewis and Klitschko would be better suited to beat Fury.

Not much of a good comparison with Biggs, Jaco and Ribalta.

Yeah, they were pretty tall, and taller than Iron Mike, but none of them ever gained the heavyweight belt with Jaco finishing his career 25-24.

Tyson Fury is a legit heavyweight champion who's been tested by some pretty damn good fighters in his career.

It's no secret Tyson had issues with good boxing, taller heavyweights. Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield and a very motivated James "Buster" Douglas----all by stoppage.

Any one of the boxers you mentioned would be dropped by Wilder if he really hit them. Dude has insane power, just not that great skill-wise.
