Could he be hyping this beef to promote a future event like a charity run or something? Feels contrived.

He might have a chance in a 40 yard dash but there is zero chance he could beat him in anything longer.

Hill's best 100m was 10.19.

He also isn’t training for it year round like Lyles is. Football shape and track shape are two different things.

Jasmine Todd, a 2015 World Championships silver medalist, weighed in on the conversation, encouraging Hill to try "calling out" the three high school boys who ran faster than him Saturday at New Balance Nationals.

If they run on grass, I'd take Hill. If they run on a track with starting blocks, I'd take Lyles

Lyles started it by calling out professional athletes that call themselves “world champions” after a title bc they didn’t face the world, only American teams. I believe it was geared towards NBA specifically or that was the example I heard him give.

I think Hill could be ahead at 30-50 meters but then Lyles would blow by him.

Ato Boldin addressed this on The Dan Patrick show last week. You can go to the 2:30 mark. Said 60 wouldn’t be close, the 40 a little closer because Lyles is not a great starter.

Lyles brings it upon himself. He’s a VERY grating personality and frankly a disappointment given what he thinks he should accomplish.

Agreed. That said there is a scenario where Hill could at least get in the ballpark. Saw online his measures are 5'10", 190 lbs, but lots of people think he is close to 5'9" or 5'8". Regardless, to maximize his speed for a track he would need to drop at least 20 lbs. If he was willing to do that and train for track for a year he could probably get down to the 9.9 range, maybe a tad faster. Still not good enough to beat Noah, but good enough to compete internationally.

Noah ran 6.44 for the 60m this year, Tyreek ran 6.70 last year. Thats a big arse gap for 60m.

For a reference point, Trindon Holliday’s personal best was 6.54 for 60m and 10.00 for 100m.

There was a video on YouTube where he and a streamer walked around trying to get people to guess who he was and he got Kevin Hart a bunch

Well this is a pretty easy comparison to do even if Lyles doesn’t want to race…
