Apparently this idiot hasn’t seen the footage of the highway patrol officer that returned to give the driver back his license and the dude opened fire with a rifle killing the officer in seconds. It takes a few seconds to roll your window down to keep everyone at ease during a traffic stop.
Hahahaha.
Its fricking tyreek hill literally outside the stadium.

Ironically, Miami Dolphins statement only talks about police mistakes but doesn’t make one mention of Hill breaking the law. Where is his accountability?
Then it says “against these players”. Where were other players involved?
And this: “we also urge them to take equally swift and strong action against the officers who engaged in such despicable behavior.” Where is their (the team owners) swift action on lawbreaking Hill?
Grandstanding: “We will stand beside Tyreek and our players as they work to use their platform and this situation to make a positive impact in our community.” Tyreek was making a great positive impact by speeding thru coned street and not obeying police orders.
See how that works.

Tyreek Hill choked his pregnant girlfriend. Kind of hard for me to feel sorry for him.
Did the cop go on a little power trip? Probably. But not going to lose sleep over it.

Found the Florida statute
Keep your window down is a lawful request. Hill didn’t comply 3 times with that request
quote:
Florida Statute 316.072(3), the crime of Disobeying a Lawful Order of Police is committed when a person willfully fails or refuses to comply with the lawful order or direction of a police

someone may have mentioned this, but as a completely separate point, why is Hill driving himself to the game?
i woulda thought that the vast majority of pro athletes are driven to games by professional drivers, so that they could either watch film along the way, make calls, meditate, etc. Hell, just grab an uber
what's the point of driving a sports car to a stadium and attracting negative attention, and speeding thru a construction zone?

If Hill was running a 4.65 and not producing, the Dolphins would be singing a different tune.

Also the media has been great
With Scottie, he was fricking arrested and charged with assault on an officer
The media refused to make any judgments
Tyreek was not arrested and was charged with nothing but traffic citations
Sweeping judgement immediately on police
Scottie truly got fricked by the law and the media refused to make judgements. It’s amazing how difficult the life of a white man is in America
It has to be killing Sao and Lester that a white golfer with no prior record was treated 1000x worse by law enforcement than a black previous criminal football player

Hill:
Scottie:
I’d say the biggest difference here is that the body cam footage for Hill has already come out, whereas Scottie’s never really did.
Scottie Scheffler also did not respond to the officer’s request immediately (although that guy did not properly identify himself) so he got pissed and took Scottie out of the car. That’s really the main difference here. The officer in Hill’s case identified themselves, but both were obviously on power trips after their original request was ignored.
Again, yes, it would be easier if the original request was complied with, but I do believe cops should be held to a higher standard than everyone else and someone not listening isn’t a proper reason to tackle someone. Once he was out of the car, Hill appeared to comply, but the one officer’s feelings were still hurt so he reacted in turn. Not a good look.

In the state of Florida it is. The police may have done everything by the law but their first rule is to de escalated and they seemed perfectly fine with not doing that. They could've handled things better. I think you know that.

Hill
Released with a traffic ticket as the cops used common sense
Scottie
Arrested and charged with a felony
There truly isn’t much to be upset with in the hill case. There really isn’t.
The Scottie case is actually terrifying.

Pride is talking about Tyreek much like Cowherd talked about John Wall. He really just wants to call him a N word with a HARD R but just canned bring himself to it. Kinda funny actually

It’s unfortunate that law enforcement seems to attract these types. There is clear blame to be laid on both parties here, but the bottom line is that the whole thing was unnecessary.

You confuse deescalate with acquiescing or abdicating their authority. One party was on solid legal ground and one was not. Now, you tell me whom should have tried to deescalate the situation.
