The Dolphins have weighed in, and they rightfully defend Tyreek and demand the a-hole cops be held accountable

The team is paying him millions to play football of course they back him.

But they are not making Hill take any accountability for his actions.

Sounds like Dolphins are ready to start kneeling for Tyreek by that letter

You can be as cautious as you like. More power to you. But when your caution leads to hostility where it’s not called for, that’s a problem. People who support police no matter what love using that argument. And it’s always a bad one. The job comes with risks and it comes with responsibilities. If you can’t meet the one while accepting the other you are probably going to be a bad fit for the job. Using the dangers of a job that they chose as a reason to let them run all over my(or your) rights is nonsense.

He complied and told the officer to not knock on his window and to hurry up, he's busy.

At first it was how the cops signed up for this, why are they cautious. Then you reply later that they can be cautious, so long as it doesn’t result in them overstepping.

I agree they acting a little over the top. That said, if this was a no big deal traffic stop, why didn’t Tyreek just keep his window down? Maybe the law doesn’t state that you have to do so, but maybe that makes it such a small deal the cop says “slow down, have a nice day”.

Neither side played this like it was some minor inconvenience. This has nothing to do with ACAB, cops following daddy government’s orders, or the shite going on in Europe. It’s a damn traffic stop. All he had to do was act like 99% of human beings and he isn’t in the news.

Use some common sense. You have Tyreek Hill pulled over right outside the stadium for speeding with a bunch of former players around

Why is he speeding? Is he late for work? If I get caught speeding when I’m late for work…guess what? I’m gonna get pulled over. I’ll roll my window down, hand over my ID, and hope I get let off with a warning. It’s not that hard. Then again, Tyreek isn’t exactly a scholarly fellow.

Hmmmm. I don’t think I said that, but if I did I clearly misspoke. Police officers signed up for a dangerous job. So they go in knowing the risks and they have to accept them. But they also sign up knowing the responsibilities and those they have to accept as well. Being cautious is fine. No matter my feelings on cops and their continual over reach, I’m not over here crossing my fingers that they all get shot at. But their job is not to be cautious. It’s to serve.

The point I was trying to make, and maybe I made it poorly is that their caution can’t affect their job or their mindset. You wanting to come home safely at night is a good thing, but you rolling over regular every day Americans to make sure it happens is not acceptable. If you can’t separate your caution from the responsibilities then you are not going to be a good police officer and you shouldn’t be doing the job.

Apparently this idiot hasn’t seen the footage of the highway patrol officer that returned to give the driver back his license and the dude opened fire with a rifle killing the officer in seconds. It takes a few seconds to roll your window down to keep everyone at ease during a traffic stop.

Hill is not helping himself in this video.

Do what the cops say. Roll your window down. Answer their questions and you’re probably gone in 15 seconds with a warning.

If one of us acted this way at a traffic stop, we’re probably on the ground in cuffs too.

It's always funny to see people demand everyone but the actual Police or Law Enforcement to be accountable for their actions

The rules on the street are there for a reason
It’s to protect the innocent citizens going about their day without fear of losing their life because some people think they have their own rules while driving and are above the law that is responsible for enforcing traffic rules

We need much better police training. You don't have the act like a badass when you have three cops behind you as backup.

F all that - traffic stop give a ticket or don't give a ticket. The games of where you going so fast what you doing are nonsense.

Matter of fact cops should be required to have ticket or not when they walk up. No time to see who you know. That was ticket worthy or not

"As a mental health worker..."

Does this guy have any clue how many speeding ticket stops capture someone with much more serious crimes?
