He’ll be lucky to not be ruled permanently ineligible if the allegations are true that he placed bets on his own team’s games while he was at Indiana
Yep. "any player who wagers on their own games or on other sports at their own school will potentially face permanent loss of eligibility in all sports."

If they opened a supplemental draft, would teams drop a pick on this guy?
I highly doubt it. When is the supplemental draft usually held? June?
The gambling stigma will make him highly toxic to begin with. Add in the supplemental draft would only be two months from now, and the story and investigations will still be ongoing.
Who knows where it leads, but this could be the tip of a much larger scandal, legal issues, etc.
I’m not saying he’ll never get a shot in the NFL, but not until his story is completely known and a lot of questions have been answered. I don’t see everything being resolved within the next several weeks.

Don't think they have a set date but do the supplemental draft after players apply for it. The last guy that got drafted was in early July after he was ruled ineligible in late June. Terrelle Pryor's draft was a couple weeks into preseason.

Good way to skip the start of summer workouts

How quickly will Fanduel and Draftkings get the blame for his addiction?
Not quickly enough. The NCAA and professional sports leagues should be on blast too, for jumping into gambling with both feet. You can't expect these kids not to see the hypocrisy. A hypocrite's admonishments are easily ignored.
The individual is ultimately responsible. But it's insane how this has been allowed to spread, and to use formats that directly entice and enable young people.

Live betting balls and strikes does not make him “addicted addicted”. Dude was at the game, probably a few beers deep, tossing around a couple dollar bills to make it more entertaining. $2.50 and $1 bets is actually the most tame thing I’ve heard.
This is crazy work lmao

7th rounder. Arm ain't bad.
But it isn't great either. Texas Tech brought this dude's girlfriend in first to snag him, then swarmed him with money, and realized he's already broke and asking for more. There are no David Baileys in this next group of TT moneybag transfers. It isn't even close.
tldr- The corner schools are going to butt frick the Big 12, no matter how much one oil baron tries to spend. That's where the coaching and player dev is now. ASU probably should have beat Duke (ACC champ mind you) down 19 fricking starters in their bowl game, but freshman RB fumbled going for a first down when he should have gone down and taken a humble 2nd and 1.

Why are young men under 25 so addicted to gambling? I know it's always been around but it seems like it is out of control now.
No one cares though.
Almost 50% of minors gamble now.
It won’t become an issue though.

Probably not. Considering the NBA has banned multiple players for similar gambling activity.
