I don’t think the NFL just straight up decides who wins and loses, but I do know that officiating can definitely favor a desired outcome. I would assume the head office always prefer whichever teams will get the most viewers and make them the most money. Players and coaches aren’t in on a fix, but officials can influence scores.

There is no law that sports have to be fair and legitimate. NFL and all sports are self-appointed entertainment. The NFL have zero legal obligation to be legit, only to stage a football game of some kind and we know this 100% because they themselves successfully argued this point in court when a Jets fan sued for a ticket refund over Deflategate.

I don't think it's rigged, but I feel like the referees have WAY too much say in how a game ultimately plays out, be it with shitty roughing-the-passer calls or various other weak calls or no-calls.
