For a good 4-5 years, he had a legitimate argument for best guard in the game between him and Kobe.

He just fell off too much too quickly. A few more good seasons and a bit more playoff success and he probably would have been in.

No, but he was an elite player for a period of time. He disappeared too quickly

I agree. I say no but I would not be surprised if he did get in. 7 time All-NBA, 2 time scoring champ. Basically averaged 25, 5, 6 for seven straight years.

he averaged 26 PPG over an 8 season stretch. that is a pretty consistent superstar level

I wouldn't put him in the HOF but he has more of a case than Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Reggie Miller do.
