Just sticking to sports that matter (football and men's basketball):

1. Sam Gilbert UCLA
2. Saban Bama
3. Miami 83-01

And then you've got the shorter ones like 93-97 Nebraska, 43-49 Notre Dame, etc.

Iowa wrestling won 20 National Championships between 1975-2000

They're also your reigning National Champs and favored to repeat after returning essentially their entire team

LSU Track and Field

Doesn't stand up to Arkansas in the mid-80s to 2000. They won 17 of 18 indoors in the period and 8 consecutive outdoor championships. It might be the greatest dynasty in college sports period.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned Iowa Wrestling from the mid-70s to around 2000.

40 or so championships and they won 33 of them.

The California Golden Bears rugby team is the college rugby team of the University of California, Berkeley. The Golden Bears have won 33 championships since the national collegiate championships for rugby began in 1980.

And then they nuked the program.

Let me preface this by saying I know absolutely nothing about hockey, but found myself down a rabbit hole…

The Montreal Canadiens have won a total of 24 Stanley Cups, most all time. From 1951-1960, they played in EVERY Stanley Cup finals, winning 6, including 5 consecutive SC.

They also won 4 straight from ‘76-‘79. In addition to all that, they won back to back on 3 other occasions(‘30-‘31/‘65-‘66/‘68-‘69).

Strangely enough, they haven’t won a SC since 1993, quite a drought for a team with such a rich history.
