This thread is weird.

The Tiger haters out in force.

Good God how bad must your life suck to get caught up on this. In 2500 competitive rounds Tiger dropped a ball incorrectly one time. GET OUT THE PITCHFORKS!!!!

What does cheating on his wife have to do with anything?

I don’t think it’s possible tbh. With all the camera’s on his every shot, plus the pga takes calls from people watching on tv....no Tiger is not cheating

And still not having a full understanding of the rules?

There is no one with a sober mind who could believe tha
Just read the story about how it was discovered, initially determined to not be a rule violation after reviewing the film, then overturned the decision after reviewing Tiger’s interview, and ironically being saved from disqualification because of that same interview.

The Story Behind Tiger’s Ruling at the Masters: How Woods Was Saved From Disqualification

But in regards to your argument, why would Tiger intentionally admit to rules violation that would be grounds for disqualification? And why would he admit to a violation by dropping it 2 yards behind the original spot, when that was far more extreme than the estimate from person who identified it (3 or 4 feet) and the officials determined it was even closer than that when they initially ruled it wasn’t a violation?

No.

He’s such a known competitor that it would eat him up if he won a major by cheating.

Neither is TW. He is more Asian than anything.

So he’s not black despite being visually obvious and his father being almost entirely African American with trades of European decent? And since his mother had a mix of Dutch, it would appear he would be more African American than Asian, with European being a distant third.

don't believe anything about him cheating but I swear there was a shot once where he hit it in a bushy area where there were people, there was a pause, and then the ball pops out in a good direction. The announcers didn't even say anything. That was 20 years ago and I apparently was the only person to see it.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. It was the PGA back in 2000 when he and Bob May dueled. Tiger hit a ball way off line. It seemed like it took forever to reappear, then it came bounding out down the cart path and as I remember ended up in a good spot for his next shot. Not that he had anything to do with that but it did happen.

The Story

I was actually there that day and was on the left side of 18 fairway when that happened (I could almost reach out and touch Tiger on his next - third - shot on that hole).

TV absolutely does not do justice to A) how rugged Valhalla is, especially those huge stadium mounds that surround a lot of the fairways and B) how dry and dirt hard-packed rocky the fan areas were.

I could believe that someone pushed his ball, but I definitely lean towards it just being a freak bounce. Tiger’s wasn’t the only shot I saw do really weird shite on those mounds and fan areas even just on that day.

If I remember correctly, Earl was half African-American, a quarter Chinese, and a quarter Native American.

Tiger would be a quarter Thai, a quarter Chinese (through both mom and dad), a quarter African-American, an eighth Dutch, and an eighth Native American.

Tiger aesthetically looks pretty Thai to me, to be honest. Much more so than African-American or Chinese.

The Chinese ancestry appears to be a joke, and the Native American ancestry doesn’t seem any more supported than Elizabeth Warren’s:
quote:

There was a family joke about an alleged Chinese ancestor who "didn't stay on his railroad job," but there is no record of any Chinese ancestry. However, the family is said to have some Native American ancestry.
Regardless, the poster’s comment that he’s not black is just false. Sure, like most people, it’s not as simple as being a single race and/or ethnicity, but that doesn’t somehow make us not one of them.

That's an absurd take. Outside of majors, Tiger is better in just about any category you can name.

I dont understand why golf fans let people troll them on their fandom for Woods.

Its not a debate. They know it, you know it.

Woods was the best ever.

I would lean that way as well. I’ve hit enough balls in the trees and some of the places they ended up defied physics.

If you are not cheating you are not trying hard enough.

Tiger never cheated, doesn't have to.

VJ, that's a different story

Bad camera angle to tell anything about where it crossed. Some internet YouTube putz thinks Woods cheated? Whatever.
