In that season, MJ had a 25.2 and averaged 28, 6 and 3. LeBron has a 26.3 PER and is averaging 27, 8 and 7.

So LeBron is a bit more efficient and a better rebounder and passer, but suffered a groin injury.

I don't understand criticizing LeBron for popping a groin any more than I understand criticizing MJ for the season he missed with the broken foot. They're just humans and get hurt. They have both been pretty durable.

Jordan played all 82 games his 33-34, 34-35 seasons, winning MVP in one of those and first team all defense each.

Get back to me when LeBron does any of that.

Pipe dream

No, because you said going 65%—2tds—1 int and a loss was better for Brees than going 72%—2 tds—0 int and a win with a super bowl appearance

You go full retard with Brees

Now that you've been educated after embarrassing yourself: where are LeBron's titles, MVPs, finals MVPs, first team all defenses in his 30's?

lebron is only in his 4th yr of 30s... so ask me again in 6 years. Wasnt that your argument for the stats i posted earlier... but but lebron played more games so he has more pts, rebs, asst. Guess same argument cant be said here huh?

Dude... he's in his 5th year. 30, 31, 32, 33, 34

Jordan in his first five had multiple in each category I listed. LeBron is on contract to play until he's 37 and it doesn't look like he'll hit another MVP, finals MVP, title, first team all defense, etc....

Welp that settles it. you have to play 82 games in 2 seasons in your 30s and win mvp once ane have one all defense to be the Goat. Im just glad someone could finally tell us what the definition of tGoat is to settle this argument.

Yes, you did when you said the missed call was the best case scenario for Brees

I'd say 6 finals/finals MVPs, 5 MVPs, and 9 1st team all defense teams blows 3 titles/finals MVPs, 4 MVP's, and 5 first team all defense teams out of the water. . .

Especially when the latter had 5 more seasons in his 20's and low-mid 30's to accomplish it.

This is the most desperate moments of Lebron's career
He's either going to land Anthony Davis and get another shot at a title in 2020

OR

He's going to rot in Los Angeles these last 4 years and his legacy will never match Michael Jordan's

I tend to think the latter is going to happen, which is why recently LeBron is trying to convince himself that Kyrie irving hitting the shot against Golden State made him the greatest player of all time. He's trying to downplay the last 6 years (2017-2023) of his career where he never came close to a title.... "becuz 2016 already made me the greatest"

And it's funny because if you go back to 2016 after game 7 he was quoted in interviews saying "I'm just trying to chase the ghost of Michael jordan." He knew he had a long way to go at that point. But fast forward 3 years to present time where the odds of winning titles are slim to none and now LBJ is playing revisionist history to prop up his fragile ego.

LeBron always needs a superteam to win a championship bc he sure as hell can't do it simply with solid, contributing role supporting cast

Exhibit A: 2009, wins MVP, leads Cavs to 66-16 record best record in league, no. 1 overall seed, HC advantage for playoffs, bounced by clearly inferior Magic team in 6 games (trailed 3-1 that series one point, game 6 wasn't even close) I know Dwight Howard was on that team but he's no LeBron James, if you're that dude that GOAT you gotta lead your team to victory and championships in those circumstances he didn't and his supporters make excuses for him, MJ never pulled that crap when his team was the best in basketball even the first threepeat when he and Scottie were the only really good players on the team

Exhibit B: 2010, AGAIN wins MVP, leads Cavs to league-best 61-21 record, same circumstances basically, bounced by a declining (W-L record-wise) Celtics Big 3 team in 6 (most damning was the series was tied 2-2, game 5 was played in Cleveland, the Cavs get blown out by 30+, and big meltdown by LeBron) in the conference semis and the Cavs basically quit that clinching 6th game in Boston. WHEN, IN NBA HISTORY, has a best overall record team led by an all-time great player ever been eliminated in the conference playoffs pre-Finals in consecutive years? Then he ditches Cleveland to form the Miami superteam, how absurd is this? LOL never looked back played with super teams since

AD will 10000000% NOT go to the Lakers, at least not until AD is a free agent.

LeBron played all 82 last year and had a higher postseason PER than in any postseason MJ ever had.

That's why I don't understand some of the MJ camp here. They're both incredible players and you can pick and choose stats to support either one. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like team MJ has a tougher time giving LeBron credit than team LeBron does giving MJ credit.

MJ was fantastic and did things LeBron didn't. But there are things LeBron's done that MJ didn't too.

Are we comparing MJ and Lebron again??

Let's dump some gas on this shite show:

tl;dr: Lebron's worst finals opponent has a higher net efficiency rating than MJ's best finals opponent.

He's the Tiger to Jordan's Nicklaus. No shame in that.

Fewer teams back then and much less blatant tanking for picks. That’s not a good stat to compare between seasons ibo.

Lebron has already played more minutes in his career than Jordan did. That's including his college years.

Just letting you know in case you didn't realize it. Not making an argument either way.

Although, Lebron > MJ
