Fewer teams back then and much less blatant tanking for picks. That’s not a good stat to compare between seasons ibo.

Actually, Jordan's best years were directly post-expansion, which diluted the talent pool.

Also, removing stats, as someone who watched all 6 of Jordan's finals as well as all of LeBron's, if you don't realize Jordan played worse competition...well, Jordan played worse competition. Don't you call GS the GOAT all the time?

The Warriors and Spurs teams LeBron faced were better than any Jordan opponent. Maybe you can argue the Thunder and Mavs vs the Suns or Jazz, but not the Spurs or Warriors.

LeBron has put himself behind the eight ball, no doubt.

I'm enjoying the show, carry on.

Lebron can’t even win but one game in two years off of GOAT. So let’s not act like he is close. Mike’s bulls woulda probably took GOAT to 6 I’ll give them that. There’s a very very small amount of teams who coulda forced GOAT to a game 7. Of course CC is one of them.

Why?

Maybe MJ won championships with better teams around him, against worse teams than Lebron has faced.

Wade is the only LeBron teammate I think anyone can compare to Pippen with a straight face, and even then, I think Pippen wins.

I'd take Jordan's supporting cast over the supporting casts of any of LeBron's Cleveland teams. Probably over the 13-14 Heat too.

The NBA in the 90s was much more thin on talent compared to today, especially after the Raps-Griz expansion. Some of the worst teams ever and Jordan’s Bulls feasted

MJs teams were the best because they have MJ. Every player who played with Jordan was a better player with Mike than they would’ve been with lebron. Teams actually practiced during the season back then. And no one practice with more intensity than mike. The fact of the matter is those guys likely don’t reach the levels they did without mike bc of how he made everyone better by demanding excellence.

You're pretty much the only one on here making rational fact based arguments

Most of the other tards like boom are just using emotional arguments like ignorant feminists.

"Mj just made his teammates work harder" - LMAO. Do you realize how dumb you sound

You have no clue if this is true or not.

Pippen had EASILY his 2 best seasons the almost 2 seasons that MJ wasn't there

Never before or after did he ever approach the same usage or efficiency

LeBron fans: 'LeBron elevates his teammates to a higher level.'

Then later

LeBron fans: 'We need more superstars, LeBron doesn't have enough help.'

When LeBron quits, his team quits with him occurred in 09, 10, and last year’s Finals, can’t imagine a time MJ ever quit in a playoff series when his team was the superior team, same with Bird and Isiah, they’d fight to the end Bc that’s what TRUE LEADERS do

He does make a good point though. MJ is one of the guys who practices with the same intensity that he plays and demands the best from those around him or they can GTFO. Kobe is the only other one in recent memory with the same attitude and skill to back it up. Talk is cheap.

He went to LA to work on his other business adventures. Producing, acting, etc. If he gets another shot at the title so be it. He knows what he's doing abd the situation he was walking into. It's been said time and time again. If he wanted to win championships he would have went to Houston or some other contending team out East. Not the Lakers.

Lebron has a bunch of rings and he's rich as shite.

By any sane measure, he's playing with house money. Which is to say, there are no more "desperate moments."

LeBron averaged 34, 10 and 8.5 in last year's Finals and you're dogging him for quitting? Of 6 Finals, Jordan averaged more than 34 twice, more than 8.5 assists once and never came close to 10 rebounds, and none of them in the same year.

I'm not even a huge LeBron fan in real life, but on here, I feel like one. Arguing he quit on his team when he put up a stat line that compares to Jordan's best Finals...I don't get the team MJ logic.

34, 10 and 8.5 is a historically great Finals performance. It just doesn't win much when you're against an overpowered Warriors team, have Kevin Love and not much else and JR blows a game.
