right. i wouldn't take jenkins because of his shite work ehtic but i'd take haynesworth & rogers.
this actually speaks to ngata, there are only 2-3 DTs who you can realistically say that are better than him.

Ngata will rush the passer more this year
quote:LINK
The scary part for opposing offenses this year is that it sounds like the Ravens are going to turn Ngata loose even more in 2009 than in year's past. Whereas in past years there was a certain number of plays in which he would either be a decoy or take up blockers in order to allow other defenders to get free runs at the quarterback in Rex Ryan's system, new defensive coordinator Greg Mattison appears poised to allow Ngata to rush the passer every chance he gets.

DeAngelo was a steal that year, even if he was a 1st round pick.

when Bush hasnt returned a kick in his career?
please, it was a weak comparison. you should have checked the numbers before you made the comparison

Over the long haul i want guy that knows and accepts his roles, excels in football basics, excels in the clutch, and is also versatile.
right, AKA a role player. Reggie Bush isnt a role player. Kevin Faulk is.

deangelo was finally healthy and he is a complimentary back
let's see if his body can hold up 2 years in a row and i wonder if he could do it by himself

still pretty good. he's the anchor of the 2nd best defenses in football. i'm not sure what else there is to ask of the guy.

Of course they count. But, Bush hasn't returned KO's. Stats are what we make them to be. To compare Bush to Faulk is LSU homerism at its worst. How many 50 yard plus TD's has Faulk had in his NFL career? I don't know, but Bush has had atleast six.

then what is he? he's certainly not a feature/primary RB.
Bush = one the most overrated players of this decade
Faulk = one of the most underrated
great role players help you win titles.

the texans were 27th in sacks last year and 22nd in defense. as you can see, williams dominant presence has led to a great defense.
ngata>williams every day of the week.

they were top 2-3 with kelly gregg in the middle also
ed reed and suggs are the 2 most important players on that D imho

and he certainly doesn't only come in on 3rd downs.
he is a 3 down player. Just lines at different positions.
whatever you want to call that. Certainly not a role player.

never said they didnt. Kevin Faulk is a great role player. And that is where that ends. A little fish in a big pond in New England. He's great at what he does. Or he was great at what he did.

for the record, i'm not saying faulk = bush
i think if faulk were 23 again he could put up some stats playing bush's role though
faulk was just a generation too early. now coaches uses scatbacks more

suggs is the only pure pass rusher on the team

If it can, I think he will have an outstanding year again. I mean the guy led all backs in fantasy points last year. That isn't everything of course, but it shows that he certainly can put up some numbers. Stewart stole a considerably high amount of carries last year too, especially early in the season. If he stays around, that will increase the odds of Williams staying healthy for a long time.

not sure, but Faulk does have a significantly higher yards per carry and yards per reception than Bush over their respective careers. He's also one THE best blocking tailbacks in football, and an amazingly reliable player come late season and playoff time.
Getting a few punt returns against terrible kick coverage teams doesn't make you an explosive offensive player. Bush plays with very little explosion from scrimmage.

i wouldn't say "stole" when i doubt that williams could hold up without stewart doing the dirty work
Posted on 8/16/09 at 10:56 pm to SlowFlowPro
aquiring a pass rusher is much easier than finding a NT as good as ngata.

He wouldn't have near the TD's on returns in the NFL.
