Exactly. Now the question is did they make actual smart hires based on deep analysis or did they just go and buy overpriced meat heads?

I personally think the best SEC hire in recent years is Elko. He can flat out coach and A&M is gonna be a tough nut with him.

I don’t see any other recent hire as bringing their program to a higher level.

This simply shows that SEC coaches are getting exposed for the none genius’s they are now that everyone can cheat. If the SEC is losing this many games while still having the “better prospects” just wait another couple years when the BIG continues to buy up the southern talent and even ups the combine numbers, The SEC coaches won’t have a chance.
Did I miss a bunch of Big 10 teams dominating college football?

So he cant make this point about the SEC coaches without being one?

Shut the whole board down! How can we possible post and talk about sports on the MSB without participating in said level of sport.

I was mocking his multiple spelling gaffes while he was shitting the intelligence of others. I'm shocked it didn't seem obvious to you.

As for criteria as to which is the best conference - the criteria is the same as to what SEC fans set it to be the past 25 years - dominance in the post season and Natties.

Mostly this

Although there are going to be examples of teams underachieving when A&M, Alabama and LSU for examples have that many players worth drafting from 2025 squads that didn't play up to their ability.

LSU seems especially egregious for underachieving on offense. Alabama getting blown out repeatedly probably says a lot about their players and coaches. A&M really disappointed down the stretch after cruising through the soft part of their schedule.

Talent put into the NFL matters but 10 of 10 people would rather be Indiana this year than the schools ahead of them on the NFL combine list

Dude, it’s autocorrect. If you hadn’t noticed it happens a lot. I’m a SEC/ACC southern football fan. Grew up in Mobile yelling Roll Tide, went to GT, and now live in Georgia. As a sports fan I can discuss rationally. And the direction of this sport is moving away from what it has been.

Sure, I enjoy watching SEC fans lose their minds because many have been over the top for 20 years. Now, that the BIG has won 3 in a row and SEC schools are just handing out crippling contracts to coaches that no one knows if they will win at a higher level, it’s just odd.

Now we have a thread bragging about number of players invited to a combine as if that matters. College football is not the NFL. I root for ZERO GT players in the NFL because I don’t care about the NFL or players not in my teams jersey. But it is funny that the conference with the most invites was the worse P4 conference in the post season. That is on the coaching in the SEC no different than the years the ACC sucked in bowls was on their coaches. Just take it for what it is. Next year if an SEC team wins the Natty you guys can go back to ragging on everyone else.

Chess? That’s funny.

Southerners can’t play checkers let alone spell it.

Ha ha.
