Poor Syracuse and their comedy of errors. I was at the LSU bowl game w/o a QB and this had to be much worse. Opt outs are killing the competitive games. Look for Georgia to rout FSU. I'm surprised FSU didn't/hasn't backed out yet. They will be missing a few starters/leaders.

Gonna take something better than the shitshow we saw from them the last time they played.

Once the playoffs get going, viewership of the bowl games will drop to almost zero.

The ratings of the bowl games is ALREADY less than NFL preseason games.

Most will be gone in 2-3 years.

Good. Nobody cares, even about the games their own teams are in.

UK didn't have a qb for our bowl last year and didn't score.

People hate participation trophies but love bowl games. It's weird.

I like to watch football.

I like to gamble on football.

There is never too much football.

Bowl games were great when there wasn't opt outs. Why do you hate more football?

It will be interesting to see what happens with a 12 team playoff and the first round games being held on campus. You gotta figure that will kill off a lot of minor bowls

The naivety on this board is really insane to me.

Watching college football is just shopping at Target for dudes. The players, coaches and universities are just products you choose to buy with your time.

It’s disturbingly myopic to attribute any logic other than these people are trying to sell you something. fricking mouth breathers the lot of ya.

Especially FSU since they need every bit they can get if they're being serious about getting out of the ACC GOR

The top 4 seeds will whine about not getting a home game and missing out on that revenue for the school and local economy that seeds 5-8 get, and that the top 4 should get to host the 2nd round. They'll either get their way or they'll further expand to 16 with the entire top 8 getting home games in the first round

Lots of folks here don’t like college football… don’t turn it on. I’m sure there’s a new reality show yall can watch with your husbands.

Bowl games should be part of the tourney/playoff. That’s it.

Man, I can see that happening. You are liable to have a knife fight between Georgia and the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
I like the idea of bowl matchups being held in week 1 the next season. So LSU kicks off the 2024 season in Tampa against Wisconsin, Alabama plays Michigan in the Rose Bowl, etc. (I also don't understand why college football teams schedule non-conference games a decade out, while basketball, baseball, etc is never really more than a year in advance.)

Every playoff game but the championship game should be on-campus. It’s like we see a very successful model the NFL has, and say, no, let’s put them at bland neutral sites and make people travel all over the country with little notice

The matchups are terrible for the most part outside of the NY6.

I’m mildly interested in A&M - OSU and Arizona - OU but that’s really it. We definitely had better bowls back in the day.
