The Rays are just further proof that moneyball doesn’t really work

Like the A’s none of these money ball teams ever win shite. Sure it’s cute that they can be a thorn in the side of bigger franchises like the Red Sox and Yankees every few years or so, but this team never produces any meaningful BANNERS but participation runner up banners like every 10 years or so.
Just a waste of time and air space, I could watch fishing on the SUN network instead of this garbage.
Dont even bother with the new stadium, no one will go anyway as this team sucks and will suck worse there since it won’t have those weird peculiarities of the Trop as home field advantage.
The Marlins can’t get any fans and they have real BANNERS
SELL THE FRANCHISEAND MOVE IT TO MONTREAL!!!!

Rays are under $100 mil
No the brewers are not big spenders like the dodgers or Yankees but are close to the middle of the league, albeit on the lower side of it

You don’t know what Moneyball is. Guess what… every team implements “Moneyball”.
Moneyball was simply finding undervalued and overlooked players by using analytics in order to build a talented roster without breaking the bank.
Every team uses analytics to find value now. Some do it better than others. The Rays organization is fantastic in how they’re still able to extract a lot out of a relatively low payroll at a time where everyone else is doing the same thing to varying degrees. It shows what a top notch organization the Rays are.
