Once again, brilliant top notch logic. Gotta hate the guy because he's a father of three and has several charities for children. Zach is a good dude.
calm down man i never said anything about hating him. i even said i didn't have much of a reason
i swear, some of the people in these golf threads need some Xanax

The lie is the toughest part about that shot. Hard to control the spin with the face open like that on such a tight lie.

10 foot landing zone?! You could hit a 10 foot landing zone 60% of the time. Zach Johnson would hit it 99/100 times. Or more. I wasn't dogging the shot, as I asked before he even hit it. Was just wondering why it was so tough.
I would say more like a five foot landing area. If you hit the downslope, then it rolls off the green too. Once he hit his second shot there, it almost guaranteed bogey.

That's what waking up a 3:00 AM to watch golf for several days will do to ya.

ZJ thinking about this ball/spike mark too much, just hit it

quote:I see. On TV it looks like it's in a valley between the downslope of the bunker and a slight uphill back up the the fringe past the hole. I'd have obviously holed it.
If he lands it on that downslope, all sorts of bad things could happen. Huge bounce forward or sideways, or possibly stay on the slope. Basically have to fly that to the hole and pray it checks

Surprised ZJ didn't practice stroke that tap in.

What a waste of a fantastic drive.

I agree, I hate that shot. And I've never had to hit it with that much on the line
