Curious why you think this

Their lines were both big and strong. They were getting some solid push in the first half against a really good ND front 7, and it took a half for the ND offense to start moving the ball despite having one of the best offensive lines in the country.

Wisconsin's 3 hardest remaining games are @Penn State, vs. USC, and @Iowa. If they go 1-2, they will end up 9-3. That should keep them in talks for somewhere between 20-25.

I see. A combination of being improved on the field and also the schedule.

Fair enough. I still view them in the 6-7 win range max, but appreciate your viewpoint

I am not convinced yet that they will be in the top 25, but their defense was saltier than I think most maybe thought coming into the season.

Joseph (if he stays healthy) is going to present problems to a lot of teams on that schedule. ND has genuine NFL caliber players at all three levels on D, and he was moving the ball some on us. We had to play contain on him until the very end which limited defensive explosiveness.

I am in wait and see mode on them. They spent $25M in the offseason on that roster and have some dudes (Joseph, Posa, Coleman; Sama is a nice RB). Who knows - they did the same thing last year against Indiana wherein they gave IU all sorts of fits in the first half then IU pulled away - but it's not hard to squint at that schedule and see 8+ wins.
