We can start hitting again? He was probably the key to 2017. I would take it in a heartbeat.

I always remember winning division. Put you right in ALCS OR NLCS. was only 4 divisions those days.

The Yankees don’t have any pitching. It’s also about momentum.

Stros will be fine.

True but 1981 was an outlier due to a strike in the middle of the season. Rather than go by overall record, division leaders from each half played each other in a division series, then the championship series.

Yeah shite I forgot the strike then. Last strike I remember was 1994. When season shut down late.

The Reds had the best overall record in 1981 but get left out due to the strike / format.

Yankees have savages at the plate
But they don’t have a pitching staff like NATS or dodgers or Astros. Astros have three top 5 pitchers

Verlander. Cole. Greinke. Based on regular season stats. Lol.

How long does this narrative go on for? Greinke and Verlander looked terrible against the mighty Rays lineup, while the Yankees pitchers dominated a very good Twins lineup.

Yankees did what the Astros did last playoffs. Swept a shitty AL Central team that was propped up by a mediocre Division.

I recall the Red Sox not sweeping the divisional round last year only to them come in and dominate the Astros on the way to their title.

NYY got the easiest matchup by far in the first round.

I'm glad the Astros got to see this

Best reg season Dodgers team ever by wins

Loses at home to the wild card winner in decisive game 5

AJ Hinch will hopefully learn from the Dodgers' mistakes
