Bitch about how players should take less money to build better teams, then bitch about how players took less money to build a better team.
Yep, sounds American to me
Compare that to the Lakers are any other team.
EVERYTHING THAT'S WRONG WITH AMERICA!!!! I'M SO ANGRY!!!!

Kobe wasn't picked by the Lakers. Why is he "entitled" to go to the team HE wants?
You know nothing of what happened then. It was KNOWN the Lakers wanted Kobe and were going to draft him. So Charlotte worked out a deal. They needed a big man and the Lakers wanted Kobe. So they drafted Kobe so they could trade for Divac.

This is about as dumb as the people rooting for the mavs a few years back thinking they were for the little guy when the mavs had twice the payroll and had been paying luxury tax for a decade.

Ok, this whole post is utter bull shite, I'm sorry. I thought you were going to make an argument about how today it's all me me me, and everyone is trying to be flashy, and I was going to agree. But the point you made is bull shite when it comes to the Heat.
That's just not true, they all signed contracts there, so what? That's what happens in pro sports. You're saying no other teams ever try and sign big name free agents? Why lacking loyalty? I guess I can see an argument for Lebron bc he's from Cleveland, but still it's not like they get to choose who they get drafted to. Why should Chris Bosh be loyal to Toronto? How about Dwayne Wade, he's played his whole career in Miami. But still, is he not loyal bc he's from Chicago and he doesn't play for the Bulls? I guess Tim Duncan should've tried to start a team in the Virgin Islands.
People bash Lebron for trusting his teammates too much, the Heat as a whole are very unselfish. This point is just false
How did they not fight? They were down 1-0 in 3 straight series, they got taken to game 7 twice, they were down to their last 4 seconds in game 6, and they fought back to victory
I would say winning back to back titles is the definition of rising to the challenge when it comes to what they're trying to do
We've already been over this once, see above
In what ways did they not earn it? They played the whole season to the best record in the NBA, they made it through the playoffs and came out on top, they earned it.
That's just some bull shite

What in the?...
You do realize the Lakers hire the best players from around the league to help Kobe win titles right? And have consistently had the best rosters or close to it throughout history. You're a joke.

Why are the Heat are hated? They are hated by people who recognize hard work and loyalty matters. That no one is "entitled" to anything.
The problem is the younger generation in this country is drowning in the entitlement mindset like a fish in water, surrounded by it and not even realizing it. It's all they know.
What the frick does entitlement have to do with anything. They just beat San Antonio on the floor my friend.

Why are the Heat are hated? The Heat represent taking the modern short-cut to glory. They represent a lack of loyalty and dedication to team work. Other great teams in the past were built by trades, draft picks, etc by the organization (See the Lakers, Bulls, etc.). The Heat were DESIGNED in 2008 and constructed in 2010 driven by the PLAYERS. The whole idea was trying to neutralize a challenge, to avoid one player having too much pressure on them.
Why are the Heat are hated? There is a large segment of people in America who respect fighters, who respect those who rise to the challenge, who respect loyalty, and who respect someone WANTING to earn their way.
and why do they need your approval? They lost in the finals 2 years ago. They had two game sevens this year and faced elimination 3 separate occasions. But, we are supposed to give a shite because you don't think they were challenged?
quote:
To Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Allen: To you I say congrats. Congrats on "winning". But don't complain when others, those who know love the old fashioned American way, aren't that impressed.
They are not complaining about anything. no matter how much you want them to

I live in S. Florida. Do you live in L.A.? You have to have some reason to have your head so far up Kobe's arse.

I agree, the Heat did not work hard, did not play as a team and are not loyal.
And they still won.
LEAGUE IS frickED
And they still won.

No, I remember. I remember that Kobe didn't want to play in Charlotte, but I remember that I don't think Charlotte wanted him either.
My point is that some players get dealt better situations than others.
I'm willing to bet Michael Jordan wouldn't have even won 3 Titles in Cleveland under Mike Brown and the Cleveland front office.
These players want to win, and sometimes trades are out of their control.
I don't see the problem with "colluding" as free agents to play with another.

And yet you don't hate the obnoxious Heat haters.
Interesting...
you mean people who stick loyal with their one team and don't go around changing teams in any sports sure
only people who don't seem to get the logic of picking one team through thick and thin right now are heat fans

you mean the boomers? the ones who were pushing the 80s and still defend the hallow, no defense era? the ones who refuse to admit the past was not as good as the present?

You have ZERO issues with those posters. Interesting how that works out, isn't it?

The fact that this was started by a Laker fan makes it even more ridiculous...I could make more sense of it coming from a Pelicans fan or something
