Top six picks are currently held by Chicago (twice), Arizona, New England, Washington, and the Giants.

None of that holds much hope since Bill Belichick’s rep has taken a bit of a hit with Mac Jones as his QB.

In no way am I fishing for upvotes but if I were a GM with the first overall pick I'd very seriously consider taking Daniels over Maye or Williams.

But Williams has such crazy unique potential that GM's are gonna be scared to pass on him due to the worry that he'll become elite for somebody else and they'll forever be known as the guy who passed on Caleb.

Houston had an offense ready and waiting for him, not likely that the team that drafts will possess.

They had Robert Woods (old)
Nico Collins (was nothing before this season)
Tank Dell (24 year old rookie who has been good)
two Journeyman type RBs
An OL that was considered shaky even when healthy but has had up to 4 starters missing at times this year.

It's crazy how everything being said about Caleb Williams can be applied to Aaron Rodgers as well. Arrogant, cocky, immature, attitude problems, emotionally unstable, etc... Williams' arm talent and physical tools is absurd and he doesn't have any problems with processing or making reads. You take him #1 without thinking twice and then figure out how to straighten him out.

Daniels might pay the "played with elite receivers" tax in the draft, but lately that hasn't mattered a whole lot.

CJ Stroud > Caleb Williams

Not really a hot take. If you’re starting a franchise right now, Stroud has to be in your top 6 with Mahommes, Burrow, Josh Allen, Trevor Lawrence, and Jalen Hurts.

Caleb Williams has been objectively terrible vs any top 25 defense he's ever faced in college. 7 Tds / 6 INts and 2-5 record

That scrambling won’t work long term on NFL. Those 50/50 balls won’t work as well either vs NFL defenses.

One of the posters mentioned Rattler and I agree, he’ll be better in NFL. He will likey not go top of board thus will likely go to a better team and not be forced to start game 1.

Whover drafts CW at top will be starting him. And the worst teams draft first. Many a great QB was drafted top 3 and ruined by bad teams.

They’ve drafted and brought in good veterans with Nick Caserio at the helm. Laremy Tunsil is a rock at LT.

How many people on this board / in this thread last year swore CJ Stroud would be a bust, no QBs from Ohio St succeed

Dameon Pierce isn't even the starter anymore

He is a classic example of a dude thats going to bounce around the league.

I think evaluating QBs is the hardest thing in sports. Franchises are not great at it, but 2023 really taught us how bad fans are doing it.

Between Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Jayden Daniels vs Nuss, I can only laugh when they are quick to say bust.

Well either 99.9% of the people are wrong and 0.1% of your left nut is right...or maybe we don't know?..Because we never do.

But this isn't some Mel Kiper dance out on a limb..

EVERYONE thinks he the best player in College Football (which is why the Heisman trophy selection process is absurd, he won't even be there) and will easily be the #1 pick.

So everyone is crazy but you and a few posters on the MSB.

Well Jayden Daniels is the best player in college football this year and should win the award, but I doubt he will be a bust and will do better that young. But again, it matters where guys end up team wise.

Caserio was hired in 2021. They did not draft an OL that year. 2022 they took K Green with their 2nd first round pick he is on IR as is Juice Scruggs 2023 2nd rounder. Deculus was a late round 22 pick and is a back up rotation guy. Tunsil and Howard were traded for and drafted respectively by O’Brien. The OL is rated around 15 this year not terrible though Sunday Stroud was under pressure on more drop backs this week than any other QB.

It was hardly “ready made offense” that’s the worst kind of post hoc narrative writing
