The hype for Caleb Williams is nuts - anybody else think he will bust?

Caleb Williams is reportedly “expected” to announce his decision to enter the NFL Draft sooner rather than later. Many NFL scouts reportedly believe Williams is the “hands down” 1st overall pick, no matter who possesses the pick. One NFL Executive also reportedly thinks Williams is a “Top-10” NFL QB the second he enters the league. Some of Williams decisions as a college QB (painting nails, dodging media, crying) will be brought into question throughout the draft process. But, there’s still no doubt Williams is one of the greatest prospects the current century has ever seen

So drop him on any random team… could he shred an NFL team next Sunday?

100%

Hot take (national wide and maybe here)

Spencer Rattler will have a longer and more successful NFL career than Williams.

Spencer had his kick in the nuts 3 years ago, moved on and grew from it a lot. Caleb hasnt had that.

I don't know whether he will bust or not.

But I hate his attitude and online persona. Total DBag.

He will when he ends up someplace like Chicago.

How he responds to it is another matter.

Going by QBR (yeah, not the best stat) that would mean he is better than someone like Tua or Jared Goff right now. CJ Stroud did it, why couldn't Caleb Williams?

and to be fair that is kind of my point. The NFL doesnt allow you time to figure your shite out and grow up.

There are enough NFL teams willing to take that risk

I bet Carolina wishes they had picked Stroud based on early performances from both

He’ll be a bust. Kid has a bad attitude. Body language is awful.

Everyone but the owner wanted Stroud, apparently.

He reminds me of the shithead in Arizona. Both are not winners.

And I don’t see him doing it. Doubly so if he get thrown into the deep end in Chicago, which is an elephant graveyard of failed QBs.

Houston had an offense ready and waiting for him, not likely that the team that drafts will possess.

Situations like that tend to end poorly.

IIRC, Bud Adams wanted Vince Young while his staff wanted Matt Leinart, including Norm Chow who had coached him at USC.

Same deal with the Skins taking Dwayne Haskins in the first a few years back. Not that the Giants did much better with Daniel Jones ahead of him but there were red flags on Haskins that Snyder overlooked because of personal connections.

He is way overated. If he goes to the tight coaching staff he could be pretty good.
