So if the Pels finish with a better record than the Lakers, the NBA should send us home and put the Lakers in the postseason?

No instead they would have to explain there decision on leaving Texas or Bama out.
But atleast with that both team were 1 loss Champs.
It's absolutely criminal that an undefeated power 5 champ is left iut in favor of 2 1 loss teams

dear sweet baby Jesus. Please let Michigan somehow, some way beat Bama by 30 so that the College Playoff Committee can be proven to be the frauds that they are. Please let Bama lose so that we don't have to hear "the ends justify the means" again as of that's an acceptable answer for ignoring a PERFECT college football season by a Power 5 football team and letting TWO teams with a loss in instead.
No one thinks Michigan has a chance against Bama. Please, let Harbough finally win a playoff game and prove to everyone that the players on the field, how they perform each play, and the final score of the games played actually mean more than what some rich assholes in suits think.
This site just keeps giving

PLEASE GOD dont let big bad Bummer hurt me again!! THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!!!!
LMFAO crawtators are in absolute misery

It must be nice being an Alabama fan knowing that even if you lose, you’ll still win.
Can’t imagine why the rest of the college football world hates y’all’s sorry arse.

There it is, that is the reason Alabama was put in.
More people will watch Alabama vs Michigan than FSU with their backup QB vs. Michigan and that equals more $. That's it, the sole reason.

No i think if UGA won last night, Texas would still be in over FSU.
This is an interesting argument. If they had 4 undefeated teams would Texas have still made it?

They could simply state the obvious- Texas and Bama played, with Texas
winning on Alabama’s home field by two scores.

Imagine this postseason instead.
Rose Bowl: Michigan vs Washington
Sugar Bowl: Alabama vs Ohio State
Fiesta Bowl: Texas vs Georgia
Orange Bowl: Florida State vs Oregon
Rank the teams after those games (and the other bowls) are played (preferably with a computer…) and then run your four-team playoff. “Conference championships” don’t matter, your reward for winning your conference was a guaranteed spot in the marquee games. “Injuries to key players” probably don’t matter… if you won your bowl without your guy, you’re probably fine.
Head-to-head still matters (and the bowls create more opportunities for those matchups to help sort), but it’s not decisive of the question necessarily. Just pick the best four teams.

Which says all you need to say. The fact the committee has to use all their double speak and babble to justify Alabama being in says what it needs to say as well…that they didn’t belong.
Yep, should have been
Michigan
Washington
FSU
Liberty
In no particular order, undefeated teams who deserve to be there, right?
That’s what it’s all about?
No one wants to watch that. Everyone who watches football knows who the best teams are.

You’ve never been particularly bright, hence the Liberty nod. Texas and FSU earned the chance to compete in the playoff. Stop being dense.

But we would've heard..."how can you NOT put in the SEC champ!". Or as the SEC Commish said, excluding Bama is not the real world.
Well they lost to Texas at home by 10 points, that's how you can exclude them and that loss is the real world.

It will be interesting to see how the games play out. The Power 5 conference champs are the top 5 ranked teams, but only 4 can make it to the playoff. The SEC champion, with 0 or 1 losses should always make the final 4...strength of schedule in the SEC is too strong.
