How is it a baseless claim? It's not. It is undisputed that the Big 10 and Pac-12 are placed at a recruiting disadvantage if the SEC, Big 12 and ACC play this fall. Sources have stated repeatedly that the Cancel-Conferences thought they would lead the pack of P5s on this. They fulled expected the SEC, Big-12 and ACC would follow willingly or by force later. Now they've backed themselves into a corner and the worst look for them will be if football is played this fall without them. They do not want that to happen. I've laid lots of foundation for my opinion. Do you know what baseless means? I feel like I am talking with 3rd graders here.

This makes no sense. Why wouldn’t they have already canceled? Especially when the Big 10 has already provided the perfect cover? Canceling later just makes them look foolish.

Whenever I drive by the local H.S. football field, there are tons of people from the community just running the track, kicking the ball around, doing aerobics.
No one is wearing a mask.
But we can't play football?
While they shut down the H.S. and Colleges people will still be going to those campuses and working out or playing pick-up games. And then the high school and college kids will be wondering, hey how come we can't play organized ball?

We are not "rooting for the season to be canceled." We can see the forest for the trees and know what is going on. I don't give a shite about a "told you so." I want politics out of sports and wish nothing more than having a regular football season. The problem is that there are too many PROGRESSIVES in charge, with the help of the corrupt media, that are making these decisions.

Pac 12 is arguably 3-5 years behind the other major conferences already.
tOSU is already losing commitments from a potential monster class because of what is happening. That hurts right there but losing those same players to the likes of Bama, Clemson, LSU, etc would be a double whammy.
It won’t put them 10 years behind but it will sure put them at a disadvantage compared to the other likely CFP teams for the next 4 years.
