Jesus, thats amazing. Im not understanding why these players are ok with the two team options at the end. That basically gives the team all the leverage on negotiating the next deal.

So we have our all star 2B and OF for a combined 18ish mil a year for the next 7 years. (Acuna a year longer).

He and Acuna's deals aren't that bad. It gives them a raise now and covers their 3-4 potential arbitration years. It's not like they extend that far beyond the normal window of team control.

Which is what they likely would have gotten in arbitration years. These deals just spread the money out across more years. I have no idea why rival execs are flipping out.

4 extra years of team control is a lot. He could probably get $65M or so over 4 years if he was a free agent tomorrow.
