if wright starts he has to be on a short leash. be ready to bullpen this game and end this series tonight.
Yeah, my assumption is that they will run Wright out there, and literally take it inning by inning. If he gets through the first and his stuff looks good, they'll give him another. If he let's a couple of guys get on in any inning, I'd have to think they won't wait to see if he can get himself out of the jam, and would go straight to the bullpen.
Unless the offense is clicking early and gives him a comfortable lead, in which case, the leash might lengthen to allow him to work out of one jam, but only a little one, like first and second with two outs. Not one or no outs. And if the Braves are leading by any score after 5, I doubt they wait any longer to go to the pen and try to nail it down.

I’d almost rather be the away team tonight so the offense could potentially jump out to an early lead before Wright even takes the mound. Would maybe help him relax but would also let us know how much of a leash to give him.

I can definitely agree with that sentiment about wanting to give him a lead before he goes out. But, of course, I also like knowing we have the last at bat, if we need it. I just hope he trusts his stuff like he had been doing before, and like Wilson did last night. He looked timid the other night, which reminded me of old Wright. New Wright has been aggressive with that running sinker and daring people to put it in play.

That article perfectly sums up the average Dodger fan, smug, arrogant, and cocky all rolled up into one fanbase that thinks they have a Yankee sized trophy case

Here's a LA Times column from Bill Plaschke after game 3 that made what happened in game 4 that much sweeter.
Good lord that was so cringe. Idk which part was the worst.

Probably this:
"Can you be trailing two games to one yet actually be leading? Can you clinch a series with a single victory? Can you sweep without sweeping? The answers are as emphatic as a Dodgers offense that set a major-league postseason record with 11 runs in one inning and franchise postseason records with 15 runs and five homers.
Yes, yes and yes."

yeah you don't get really nervous in those games until the end if it is close on average. these baseball games with braves? pins and needles all game regardless from the first pitch.

After Game 3:
"In Game 4 Thursday night, the Dodgers will start future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw while the Braves will counter with… Bryse Wilson? He’s probably a nice enough kid, but the 22-year-old has pitched in 15 big-league games in three seasons with a career ERA of 5.91.
After Game 4:
"Kershaw lost his grip after five strong innings, allowed hits to the first three batters in the sixth, and finished with another fall failure."

AJ Minter starting tonight.
Posted on 10/16/20 at 1:24 pm to volfan30
3 innings out of him would be amazing

So 1 inning from him (2 if he's efficient) and then Wright?

It would be amazing but I don’t think that’s happening

I’m gonna be 100% honest. I feel worse now than I did after game 3. Don’t know why I just do.
This is setting up to be the best or worst sports weekend of my life.
