I’d go with the Braves. 5-1 vs Dodgers with Acuna heating up

Except we won't be facing Emmet Sheehan and Justin Wrobleski in October.

By this logic, you must also think the Giants are better than the Braves.

Also, you talk about Acuna heating up, and that's great, but what if I told you that these last two weeks was the worst team OPS the Braves have had out of any two-week stretch this season?

Acuna was one of only two players to have an OPS over .700 in that stretch (Harris).

The Braves are 14-7 vs Dodgers, Phillies, Brewers. Make of it what you will, but that sure appears to be a contender to me.

And we don’t need to play the Giants again. lol

Better to be cold now than in October. Let’s go.

I feel like I'm debating someone that thinks a pitcher is as good as his W-L record.

Offense hasn’t been great but there are some positives.

League Standings:
Runs Scored (9th)
Slugging (5th)
HR (7th)
RBI (10th)
Hits (12th)

K’s (15th)

Walks (28th) ouch
OBP (24th) makes sense

It’s a solid top 10 offense with a more patient approach. But we love to swing at everything.

The biggest problem with this offense is because their OBP is so bad, their floor is being the worst offense in baseball.

There is nothing to fall back on when they aren't slugging. They don't take walks, they're an atrocious baserunning team, they don't move runners, etc....

This game already feels like it's over. The Braves probably won't score 3 runs tonight.

Well this game is over. Can’t even get Mateo out. Not to mention the Astros can’t get the Phillies out after jumping to a 4-0 lead. Probably looking at the division lead down to 3

I am afraid that thread participation will begin to dwindle very soon. That's okay most participants don't post much, me included , when we are getting our asses kicked. So I will watch the batting order one time around and quit for the night like AA did at trade deadline

Lol Schwarber grand slam makes it 11-6 Phillies after they were down 4 runs. 3 games back after tonight.

Please go away. You’ve already established yourself as a bandwagon fan. As soon as the Braves stumble, you drop in to crap on them. Check out and don’t come back

Imagine that… Hitting home runs with guys on base. Must be nice.
