I think this was one of those deals where the closer being in there and throwing 100 actually helped Riley. He had no choice but to try and go back up the middle or to right center.
If it's a guy throwing 93-95, Riley will try to pull damn near everything at times. If the velocity gets too high, he actually comes up with a better plan of trying to go middle/away.

This can’t be stressed enough. NEVER give up an at-bat.
I don’t know if I’m more happy for us as Braves fans or Austin. Nobody has needed that as much as him. Hopefully, he can build on it. I said his 1st AB it was his 1st AB of the year. Regular season didn’t exist. I hope he keeps that mindset. But he can strike out every AB from here on out. He saved the season with 1 swing.
