The Astros were using cameras and technology to steal signs in 2017

I imagine this is covered in the article, but at one point one of their employees was caught with one of the Huahei (sp?) phones with machine learning capabilities. Those phones are banned in the US.

Said it in the Astros thread but in the article it says it started with two uniformed people early in 2017 (including one player who was struggling and benefitted from sign stealing with another team) devising their own system.

Maybe have radio communication from the manager to the pitcher and catcher, so the signs are different every pitch.

Also the way it’s described I don’t see how you could possibly use it during a playoff game. Banging a trash can in a hallway behind the dugout and a guy in the batters box will hear it? It’s so gd loud in that place during most playoff games

By the way, the Astros scored 106 more runs on the road and had a 53-28 record away from MMP compared to a 48-33 record at home.
