Surprised it’s 312. Was thinking about 280 the way I blasted balls on to Hickory Ave back in the day!

Barbe might split with Sulphur, may even split with Southside but no shot splitting with Sam Houston, no way. Sam Houston is going to drag Barbe, twice. Mark. My. Words.

Sam Houston is the most impressive team I've seen so far this year. I've been behind the plate for two of their games(1 win and 1 loss). They're deep in pitching and there aren't any holes in their lineup. No clue on Barbe as I haven't seen them at all, but SH is definitely one of the teams to beat.

NSD1 is insane

NSD1 is the only bracket out there that could justify the old 32 team bracket. You're going to have some teams around 20-14/19-15 that get left out of the playoffs. In other Divisions teams with losing records will be in the playoffs. Baseball is a different animal at the D1 Level.

Btw Holy Cross has played a weak as hell schedule so far… I didn’t run numbers for select teams, but their schedule is only stronger than Benton’s so far among all nonselect teams currently in a playoff spot

They lost again to Brother Martin today

HC scored 1 run in 2 games against BM. They had some chances but they otherwise looked very overmatched.

Southside took an 8-2 lead over New Iberia and won at home, 8-7. Yellow Jackets fought back. The tying run was caught up between third and home after Southside RP K. Templet made a great play on a bunt.

I don't completely believe it's 312. I'm not calling BS bc I don't know. They really didn't even let older kids hit on that field back in the day bc it was so short. Balls would pelt passing traffic and the fire department. Last time I was there, they had a light pole in the field of play in left center field, too.

West Monroe easily over Ouachita 11-0. Play OCS tomorrow there. Then return home for Ouachita again Saturday.

So something I’m wondering… who are the best outfielders in 5A? We have Jaden Williams but I’m wondering how many are clearly ahead of him…

I’ll defer to others. Baseball and softball starting earlier this year put me behind the eight ball with covering basketball until last week.

Just posted that because Jaden Williams made all-state in football, and might have gotten in the conversation in baseball tonight with the game he had in our 6-2 win over Rummel at Suarez tonight… he was a force with the bat, on the bases, and in center field

And Jace Zornes gave up two unearned in the first but after that shut down Rummel’s powerful lineup.

A week ago we didn’t look great and HC was 17-0 and nationally ranked… I was sick lol. Now things are turning around

Well, my son just played Rummel there last week and I’m 99% certain I remember 312. I guess I could be wrong but would be bet I’m not.

What happened to Geauxprep? They are way behind on updating their power rankings. Just too many games to update? Someone there sick?

WM empties the bench in a 10-0 win over Ouachita in 5. It was 9-0 after 2. Frye with the win.
