Clean I’m not familiar with Centerville. Do they have someone that can go toe to toe with Guidry from Vinton?

They won’t hit Guidry. Props for scheduling Curtis and ARCA. Let’s be honest though. Lots of teams are getting smart by scheduling these games purely for power ratings sake.
The three biggest divisions are all best of 3 all the way through the finals.

They have two sophomores that are really good. Cruz Hebert has a ton of movement on a hard breaking pitch. Don't know if they call it a slider, but it appears to be one. Cole Albert also 2028. He's 6-foot-5 and beat OCS in the finals. That might be who you're thinking of. He's reportedly out for the season both pitching and as a hitter.

VC has a lot of quality arms, but Albert is far and away their best. Without him, they likely don’t get back to Sulphur unless their bats come through.

I can’t wait to watch Douglass at Tara this weekend. Oh wait this is baseball? Prayers to officials working that series.

Oof…glad I didn’t draw that one! Lol

New Iberia upset Sam Houston 10-8

I was told they tried to pitch off and it cost them

By the time they brought Galley in, they had already given up 9 runs. NISH had a grand slam in the 2nd and a 3 run HR in the 3rd. SH was in a hole really quick and tried to battle back.

I've got Lafayette at Acadiana tomorrow.

Hopefully Ty Lamartina is pitching.

Looks like he threw this weekend against Alexandria. I didn’t look up the number of IP.

I believe he threw 5 innings on Saturday. I doubt he comes back tomorrow.

Google tells me nothing about stabbing at Barbe. Can someone enlighten me to that story?

It wasn't an actual stabbing. He apparently pulled a knife on a coach and got expelled.

Anyone got film of that game or any of the other playoff games that year?

Reminds me of when Cecilia beat Evangel 31-28 in the 95 quarter finals. My youngest brother played for Evangel back then. The game was a back and forth war all night. It really came down to one player. Y’all had a big fast middle linebacker that Wrecked Shop!!! He was a man amongst boys as they say. I bet he had 20 tackles that night.

That was a semifinal game. It was probably the craziest game I’ve ever been a part of with the stoppages for fans having to be taken away in ambulance and air med. That middle linebacker was Jerome Wiltz. He was the defensive MVP of the state that year in 3A.

Still blows my mind that a high school team with a front court that went 6’8”, 6’10”, 6’10” never won state.
Here is some of his sophomore film. He plays a lot of RB for Cecilia, but projects as a WR in college. With the RB background, the run after catch potential is huge with him.

West Virginia signed a couple of Karr kids this year. Not sure if they have connection to Nola on their coaching staff, but I’m sure having those Karr players signing didn’t hurt when it came to signing Francis.
