JT came to play while others not so much. Europe made every fricking putt and chip when it mattered.

You need a pretty large sameple size for strokes gained putting to really have any merit. 9 putts isn’t going to do it. You miss a 13 footer, 12 footer, and 25 footer, and you’re down over a stroke when you haven’t really missed a putt you were supposed to make yet. It really needs time to level itself out.

And NBC blows, 4 groups on the course and they miss so many shots to show crap from previous years or stupid stories.

I’m assuming NBC is piggybacking off of the European feed, and the European feed is being helmed by a bunch of Italian locals that don’t know the first thing about golf.

That doesn’t excuse NBC of trying to shoehorn in pre-produced segments. Their coverage is already a roller-coaster because of the feed they are being provided. They don’t need to add more complications.

like Max, and he should be a fixture on American teams for the next decade, but I don’t understand why we keep running him out there for every session like he’s the stalwart anchor of this team.

I'm not as impressed with Homa as some are. He just strikes me as a Dick Fowler Lite. In the big moments he seems to fail to rise up to the challenge. Until he actually does it on a majors weekend or in the heat of RC battle, I consider him a shoulda/coulda.

Homa just has his first ever major top 10 this year. Rickie was a Top 5/10 major machine for about 6 years, they aren’t even remotely close to the same.

Well at least I can sleep in this weekend now. What a colossal choke job in both sessions.

. I mean pale looking, low energy, they looked like they didn't sleep the night before.

There’s obviously a virus going thru the locker room. You’re right those guys were death worn over. Sick as dogs.

After watching Colin, Sergio, Westwood, etc. make shots in Ryder Cup they never sniffed in majors for 20 frustrating years, I thought this new generation would be different.

Rahm is the real deal but even he, along with Fitzpatrick and Havland, were making ridiculous chips and putts today.

I don't think they can keep it up two days in a row, but will the Americans capitalize? I'm skeptical. It just means more to them.

Thank you JT for playing by yourself on the back nine. Spieth should have done the right thing and suggested another partner for JT in the morning.

I am interested to see how they respond tomorrow. They need 3-1 in both sessions to have a chance on Sunday.

I'm wondering how. Scheffler is supposed to the best in the world tee to green and is definitely not.

Who is the US's best player tee-to-green? Who is their best on or around the greens?

Nobody better than Hovland or Rahm that's for sure. Or Rory.

Euros have a huge advantage especially with the US nursing hangovers, not colds(pfffft).

I mean, he definitely is. He played poorly in the morning which sometimes happens, but it’s not really close. He’s the best ball striker in the world.

Statistically Scheffler is the best ball striker in the world

However, not every golf course mirrors your preferred style of play and I really think his inability to make putts has stressed the rest of his game.

Scheffler nails the rough. Keopka nails the tree. Scheff nails the rough behind the green. (lose 1st hole)

Spieth nails the rough. JT gets on the green. Par.

JT and Jordan are both in the middle of mental breakdowns going on months. this is the equivalent of housing anorexics in the same room
