Lowry went 1-2 in the last Ryder cup and looked like shite

Fitzpatrick was 0-5 in the Ryder cup coming in to today.

Zero
And
Five

And he was the best player by far today for either side

Meanwhile, Colin, who went 3-0-1 in the last Ryder cup, looked dead today

Everything looks like a great decision and your players have great attitudes when they are winning.

What was the board comment Brooks made about?

Correct, also homefield advantage in the Ryder cup is massive. Not just the crowd, but being able to dictate setup is huge.

Golf is actually a pretty local sport as well. California golfers play well in California, Florida golfers well in Florida. The fact that Europe was +110 to win was a gift.

I knew Johnson would not work as captain.

So many of these guys take what should be simple decisions and turn it into complicated, over-analyzed procedures.

I can't see guys like Hogan and Palmer doing that.

Not sure what is going on here anymore, but the US autos got rolled today.

Captains picks not much better, but the TEAM needs to be led by the autos, not the picks.

Euro autos kicked arse. End of story.

Also, 2nd time asking, what the hell context was Brooks talking about Rahm? By itself, it looks bad, but what is the context of the comment(what happened?)

Strokes gained rankings from the morning foursomes

Burns seems to have taken the brunt of the hate when he was far from the worst (and barely even behind Scottie). Burns was 2nd to best in SGs putting as well, which is kinda by you are putting him in foursomes

Also losing to Straka and Lowry was bad, really bad

Wasn’t Hogan a pretty big technician. I know he tinkered with his swing a few times.

Anyway he was a bulldog in competition, and that matters more in Ryder cup.

Azinger hired fricking astronauts and shite and made the entire process like quantum physics. And that team dominated. It comes down to the players for 95% of it

Cumulative strokes gained after day 1

Backs up Clark and Scheffler being the best Americans right now. Yet, we sit Clark for tomorrow and play Spieth and Harmon. Just don’t get it at all

ETA: sitting Clark is honestly mind numbing.

And burns being ahead of JT is kinda eye opening

Azinger is a clown that got lucky with that ridiculous "pod" system.

Plus he had the good luck to captain against a Euro team that did not like their aloof captain. (Faldo)

The Americans were OVERDUE to win that particular RC.

This crap ain't rocket science.

Harmon in that group has the best putter which is something that burned them in that last hour while they were choking the cup away

Has this been shared yet? Pretty cool and whoever bid that got a hell of a deal.

quote:

Hilton built a hotel room off the 10th green at the Ryder Cup and auctioned it off on their website.

Package includes:
• 1 night on the course (Sat night)
• 2 nights at a nearby Hilton (Fri & Sun)
• Ryder Cup tickets on Sat & Sun

The winning bid was 528,000 points (~$3,000).

I would have homa/Clark for sure based on today

Clark carried Homa in the afternoon. Just like Rose carried MacIntyre.

The Homa/Harman pairing offered nothing in alternate shot in the morning. I was most disappointed in Homa. I didn’t expect much from Harman, but he gave Homa opportunities. Max never could capitalize.

I like Max, and he should be a fixture on American teams for the next decade, but I don’t understand why we keep running him out there for every session like he’s the stalwart anchor of this team.

The thing that seems to be obvious every RC but especially todays matches. When the Americans are down by a couple with holes running out they fold. The last 3 matches the Euros kicked in the alpha attitude.

And NBC blows, 4 groups on the course and they miss so many shots to show crap from previous years or stupid stories.

Re-watching some highlights...Morikawa(sp?), Cantlay, Harman, and Fowler looked like they were hungover. I mean pale looking, low energy, they looked like they didn't sleep the night before.

I heard some bs the US team had some sniffles or something like that. BS. They were hungover. Just admit already.

Side note: Brooks looks fat as shite.
